Visited during the Marches. Pub extremely busy, but atmosphere was fine as was the beer.

Used to be my favourite pub in all the world. I have so many memories with friends and family. Used to have the best beer, serve quarter gills and have character. Now a shadow of its former self, a soulless corporate pub, painted grey because a board room somewhere said it appealed to most under 25s. It's cultural vandalism. There were stained glass inserts in the windows, ask Green King what they did with them when they ripped the soul out of one the best local pubs in Scotland. Oh... And toilet was disgusting.

A little confusion with the name being the footballers and yet on 2 separate occasions, hours apart they choose to show rugby on all screens and blank all football.Reasonably priced and plenty seating available, just not quite doing what it says on the tin. Rugby and cricketers or rugby and anything but footballers would be a more apt name perhaps??

Awesome little pub, staff went above and beyond to make us welcome. Great pint, good pool table, good music. Cheap too!
