Glasson Basin Lock
Lovely place. Lucky today able to watch the opening of the locks. The area in general is fantastic. You have the Quayside cafe and another snack bar/ shop next to it. Then across the way you have the lock keepers rest which does excellent fish and chips. Also a very tasty steak Canadian barm.Had milk shake and a scone today at the Quay side cafe and they gave us a free sausage for the dog.There's the smoke House and a pub near by. Plus excellent views.You can camp. Visit Alpaca and there's an excellent caravan park near by and a marina as well.

Glasson Basin Lock
Called at Glasson Dock to spend the day walking about the basin marina and the canal, looks lovely but was spoit by the high parking charge which can only pay via the Internet using a card. £7.50 for a few hours was a bit much so decided not to stay, Any free parking which very limited was taken up by camper vans.
