I wish to thank the young man to whom I spoke last week Friday - I stupidly did not take his name though - as I was panicking about my vehicle from abroad being ready for collection on Monday (two days ago) and all the documents you required from me to obtain a permit for Zone O were in order as we had not received any word to the contrary. The young man put me on hold for only a minute, came back online and said my permit had been approved and printed! I know how amazing the postal service is in the UK so I said I was sure I would get it on Saturday, the next day to which he replied give it until Tuesday or Wednesday".I worried about getting a fine from a traffic warden but he kindly reassured me that my car would show up on any system as having a 4 day "free pass" (renewable by the council should the need arise) until the proper permit arrived.I am so grateful to him and the council. I collected my beloved car and immediately stuck on what I call my "o-zone" permit!Thank you and keep up the amazing work!"

Impossible to get into contact with. Can't imagine how anyone with a disability copes living in this Borough

The website to manage council tax and parking permits is a mess but once I got through on the phone the team was very helpful with solving my issue.

Just have to echo the other reviews, awful service feels pointless even reviewing as it won't have any impact. You have no other choice, so we're stuck with this service anyway, but just wanted to add my two pence either way.

issued a parking fine and then website was not functioning to be able to pay it after going through all of the process. Even emailing the council is made difficult as you have to enter an address and my address would not come up on the search. Incompetence abounds!! Had to use phone payment method and listen to it repeat everything I entered.need to get you act together.

Impossible to get through to parking services. Tried to pay 3 times. Last payment went through and assumed that would be the end of it... parking fine 2 days later as payment apparently didn't go through even though it had been approved by bank. Lets hope this one goes through... service couldn't be any worse. If could give zero stars i would

Very discouraging talk with a cold lady who told me that unless water which is tainted affects human beings, the swans dying at an inordinate rate at Queens Park Lake habe no similar rights as humans for the water to be tested. Absolutely disheartening and not at all helpful. She suggested RSPB and calling the police (both of which I have already done, including writing to councillors, local welfare groups and HRH King Charles). Council workers, please remember you remain employed at our pleasure, due to our taxes. Please care more and give more of a darn for our precious wildlife.

Absolute nonsense and rubbish system.I moved to a new house 18 months ago and paying council tax for the new address since. I recently needed to apply for schools for my kid but unfortunately on my account it’s reflecting my old address. And when I tried to update my address online it is asking me the same details which I filled for council tax. Also asking me to set up direct debit for the new address for which direct debit is already set up..l went to council customer care office in hove town hall explaining to change my address. They are so annoying asking me to do the direct debit again and the same hefty long process. It is absolute madness instead of changing the address in system asking us to go through the same process. There is no sense of setting up a direct debit again. I took time off from my work to complete this. Nothing but waste of time for me. I also called Council over phone to help me, but no one answered, instead it got disconnected thrice. Feedback— there should be way to change address in the system by the staff instead of using tedious methods.

Customer service can hardly ger any worse. Staff is very rude and unhelpful. 1 star is a lot for the service they provide.I called the council and straightway was told they could not help. After I tried to make a few queries the lady just replied thank you

I've been told by BTNbikeshare that they don't offer annual membership anymore and the reason for that is Brighton & Hove City Council are pausing all new annual memberships for the current scheme. ". It's really disappointing to hear that as for someone who uses these bikes on a daily basis to go to work and other destinations
