Waited 95 minutes before the starters arrived - during this time 4 other tables (who all came after us), were served and ate two courses. Three of our party had steak, which they all enjoyed, my fish meal was really disappointing. The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly, but when you are treated shabbily, and the regular customers receive blatantly preferential treatment, that is crossing the line". This is the only one Star ⭐ review

My experience doesn't match up at all with all the great reviews of this place. Friendly atmosphere and good service, but the Sunday roast was really bad.The meat was overcooked and dry, the Yorkshire pudding was poor and the potatoes were rubbery and tough. The sauces and stuffing were all clearly bought in rather than homemade, but it's the gravy that did it for me. There's just no excuse for serving packet gravy when you're charging £14 for a roast.

Enjoyed an excellent Sunday lunch here. Friendly, hard working staff, good beers, and a delicious vegan nut roast. The only negative I can think of is that one of the ales had gone off, so I was immediately given a different choice. The car park was tricky as it is so popular. We were really impressed.

Stumbled across this place due to staying near by, and we took a chance and booked a table for dinner on Saturday. Well I'm so glad we did as the food/service was amazing! What impressed us the most was the effort and standard of food for our son's main. Usually children meals get plonked on the plate and is a poor standard of food. There's an Excellent range of beer/cider too.

We stopped off for a late afternoon meal and found it was a very friendly pub.We had 2 meals which were excellent, freshly cooked and presented well. The price was very reasonable and we will definitely be making it a regular place to stop whenever we are passing.Well worth a visit for the great food and friendly welcome.

This pub is in a really lovely setting. We visited from the campsite down the road and found nothing but beautiful local ale and friendly day staffed. It is what it is, a lovely community ran pub that serves good hearty food and ale. Would definitely visit again!

As visitors to the area. We could not have been made to feel more welcome and comfortable. Staff all very friendly and attentive, kind to our children and clear it wasn’t only a locals place. Even though it was packed with locals for the rugby. It’s a real community pub with a good kitchen too.
