It's better than being homeless, but if you can get different accom, do it. Honestly the ammount of issues I have for the price that I'm paying is insane, the photos are of the best room they have, my rooms got cracks on the walls and trimmings. We had to ask for a new toaster and two new kettles on week one, as the first kettle they did bring to replace the old one didn't work. My kitchen heats up to 1000 degrees even in winter, so it's heat stroke in the summer, even with no appliances on. Theres no reception, only a temporary security guard because the front door is broke, so instead of fixing it, they pay 4 security guards on a rota, seems about right. good luck speaking to anyone unless you do it through their online portal, in which case it'll take a while to hear back. First few months I was here other students talked of rats in packs outside the front, as well as bugs in every kitchen. Took them about 6 and a half months to fix my leaking toilet which I reported on day one. It's not the worst, I'm just sharing my issues so you know what you might get into, got to say though every student in this building is amazing, but I mightve just gotten lucky

With lower market price and average quality of stay, this place is still bearable. However the indication of different cooking modes and temperatures on the oven are worn-out, where we had to guess the temperature/mode without accuracy. The chair in the bedroom is dirty from day 1 and those in the kitchen are of lower quality, with one of them breaking down after only a few months of stay. Frequent hot water supply and heating issues especially during Fridays and weekends, where we had to boil our own hot water for shower in the cold weather and wait for maintenance only on the Monday after. Insufficient fridge storage to share between 5 as students do not buy groceries on a daily basis but weekly. Vacuum cleaner nozzle provided is faulty and old. Bedroom next to the lift is noisy and soundproofing is weak as noise in the unit corridor and stairs corridor can be heard clearly. Overall the place is only good for its location and good size of room within its price point.

A really professional and positive team who clearly enjoy their roles, the Manager was particularly friendly and was a fountain of cricket knowledge! Facilities are top notch and the pricing is more than fair. Rooms and common areas were fresh (I think they have recently been painted).

DO NOT BOOK THIS ACCOMODATION.This accommodation is one of the filthiest , unsafe and awful student accommodations i have ever seen. When i and others at this accommodation moved in not a single flat had been cleaned after its previous tenants , this was obvious the second i walked in due to the smell, stains all over the carpet and walls and rubbish under the bed. The appliances are faulty and non of them get replaced , there are rats outside , the lift breaks down and there are no staff onsite , just one faulty front door keeping students safe. The biggest issue is the cleanliness especially given the current climate , the whole places feels dirty.when crm have been approached by students regarding maintenance issues crm have taken very little consideration and often things are not fixed or replaced within reasonable time e.g boilers , radiators , fridges .And regarding the fact students have barely been able to stay at this accommodation this year due to changes in term time and government restrictions crm refuse to reduce rent or even offer support to students who are paying for filthy rooms they aren't even using when many university owned AND private companies have been able to offer rent reductions to students. It seems to many of us staying here crm want one things and that's your money , once they have that they dont care about the students in their accommodation or their safety.Students are also unable to cancel their tenancy here so unfortunately after discovering the state of your flat and wanting to leave, there's not much you can do about it .

I am glad to spend about one year in your Cambridge House, which has great facilities, convenience, and services from you. However, I cannot continue to live here, as I am going to graduate, so I want to give other young students, like me in the past, a chance to experience this place of great amenities, location, service, and reasonable price.
