Ticket machine not working, as far as I can see with other reviews this is the norm, well done C2C for taking all customers comments seriously and sorting out this issue. The ticket office was closed so nowhere to get ticket and no staff available to ask a couple of travel questions. The station is run down and just another horrible experience using the C2C service.

My wife and I were at this station and had problems purchasing a ticket in Upminster, the ticket sales person at this station was most helpful in not only assisting our purchase of return tickets, but also giving us information about the facilities in the area and of the points of interest. A truly lovely person who added value to our day.

Shoeburyness, is a quiet place most of the time. As a wheelchair user, it is not accessible really the roads as most places need to be adapted. The beach is pleasant, but not accessible for wheelchair users and there aren't any cafes by the beach. There is a van that sells ice cream, coffee, teas and some hot food. There are toilets, and a small play area that should be more developed because there is enough of an area. There is a gym, by the school and a few supermarkets. Public transport is consistent and most friendly, the 9, 14 and a few others with the Shoeburyness station currently manned it allows access to other places. It's nice to know the people that travel here, generally live here. It's nice to be by the sea and away from the sky pollution.

Thank you to all staff at Shoebury Station for assisting me with reporting the theft of my rucksack from front carriage behind driver on train from fenchurch Street Monday Nov 4 th between 1745 and 1815. Between chalkwell n thorpe Bay stations. I was in a bit of shock and still can't believe that someone would just take it from the overhead rack and that I never noticed. I'm still hoping it will be found. Cctv footage may help. Personal and valuable IT items in the bag. Dark navy blue large rucksack. Good condition. Please contact Shoebury Station staff if you know anything about this or saw it happen.

Shoeburyness is the last stop on this line for c2c trains there are three platforms here the station has toilets on the platform. The ticket hall area is small with three ticket barriers to use there is seats available in the ticket hall aswell. The station has disabled access to the platforms as there is no stairs at this station everything is street level. The station was very clean and tidy and also very quiet.

Attractive, somewhat quaint old station with modern amenities and regular services to/from Fenchurch Street. Staff pleasant and helpful, especially when dealing with those unfortunate souls who end up at the wrong end of the line after a night out, only to discover there are no more trains in the opposite direction.Note that local taxi firms charge ridiculous prices late in the evening and impose a surcharge of £30 after midnight (making the total cost of a journey to London well in excess of £100). It is highly advisable, therefore, to make doubly certain that you get on the right train or don't fall asleep and miss your stop!!
