Dedham Riverside Carpark

Great place to park good access to shops and river walks car park reasonably priced.

Plenty of walks , there's a boat house with restaurant, something to eat and a row down the river to Flatford You are in the heart of constable country. You can launch a canoe/kayak from there

This car park is of decent quality. Not the best but a clear effort has been made to provide riverside parking. There is a portage point for canoes/kayaks etc. Points to fish along and the view of the lovely Dedham Mill. Sadly though this carpark gets very busy and often there is nowhere to park here. It is free to park, which is probably the attraction. The other car park a 2 min walk up the road holds more spaces and is the better option personally. Unsure where the motorcycle parking is, as that isn't clearly marked out. But that aside, good car park, not badly maintained although it was rather muddy in places. Recycling bin area seemed clean and tidy and ticket machine was accessable and in good working order. Parking charges very reasonable, first hour free for cars (I travelled by car, but motorcycle parking is free, in marked bays??) Recommended for parking for the river.

Great little car park. Pay cash or via the app. Helps keep the place going and don't park on the road. It's not expensive either.

Dont plan to park over there when you want to visit the area. It's constantly occupied. Too many people want to go to the boat house, boat ride, river, lake, going for a walk - you name it. You will need to find another place to park

Perfect place to drop the car before exploring the river

Have been visiting here since a kid and now I regularly bring mine here. Beautiful place for a boat trip or kayak, plenty of great places to eat, and the pretty town with nice little shops is a short walk away. Sunny Sundays are best avoided as the place gets rammed with visitors

A perfect car park to launch my paddle board or kayaks. Parking is very reasonably priced, but is limited and therefore gets full very quickly, so arrive early if you will be paddling. Otherwise there are plenty of other car parks along the main road.

Wonderful place to picnic and enjoy the water.

A beautiful spot to dine in the restaurant or picnic on the river.
