Mona Acupuncture // clinics at 8 Lauriston Street and 36a Albany Street

I joined Mona's practice a few months ago with aid to help me relax and compose myself as well as treat some aches in my back. I have to say that every session with Mona were made me feel very relaxed and I definately saw a benefit with my back ache and my general mental wellbeing. I can not recommend highly enough Mona. She will give you advise and support holistically as a whole rather than try to treat individual aspects.

I first went to Monika about a year and a half ago for some back pain I’d been having for a number of months. I’d seen multiple doctors about it but nothing helped. After just 1-2 sessions with Monika the pain was gone and hasn’t come back! Since then I’ve been continuing to see her for severe chronic anxiety, and the acupuncture has made such a major difference that has significantly improved my quality of life.Monika really takes the time to get to know her clients and what they need. She is very attentive and creates a welcoming and comfortable environment. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Monika gave me acupuncture treatment for many of my health issues. I must say that each time it was very helpful, definitely relieved my symptoms. I was in Edinburgh for my study abroad program and knew that with my recent Crohn's diagnosis, I wanted to continue implementing acupuncture into my routine to help in my healing process. I have seen many acupuncturists, all with different styles and knowledge, yet Mona far surpasses not only in breadth of skill, but in the kind and warm attitude she brings to her practice and to her patients. Having created an understanding and compassionate environment, there was nothing I felt hindered to share; I felt completely safe to trust Mona with both my body and mind, as I feel is necessary when committing to the practice of acupuncture. I was treated weekly, for many months, only leaving to come back to America, where I have yet to find an acupuncturist that cultivates such an equilibrium of joy and expertise in every aspect of their practice. It was a highlight of my stay in Edinburgh and to this day I feel the positive effects Mona has had on my recovery.

Monika has truly impressed me. Initially, I had reservations about the efficacy of acupuncture, but when combined with her other recommended treatments, I've experienced a notable improvement in my well-being. Honestly, I cannot recommend Monika enough, within a few short months, after years of chronic illness, she had entirely turned my life around, and thanks to her I am the healthiest I've been since I was about 13! She really truly listens to you and gives very personalised treatment and advice - I'd give 500 stars if Google would let me:)
