GAME

Went into the store yesterday and spent a decent amount on items, which the employee suggested to sign up to game elite ,which was £3.00 a month, and in return I would receive £14 worth of points, later that day got home to realise that the receipt says I have £1.43 in points which obviously isn’t worth paying £3.00 for the membership as we aren’t saving money. Just feel lied to an outraged by the fact an employee would lie to a customer just to get them set up to a loyalty scheme. As working in retail before I know this helps the store look good to the “bigger bosses”depending on how many sign ups the store gets a day. Think it’s ridiculous and the employees need to have a discussion and maybe and learn a bit more about their own loyalty card before suggesting them to customers

Took my 2 boys 5 and 9. Was not sure on how it all worked. The staff were so helpful. Squeezed us in for a hour and set the boys up. During the hour they made sure ourselves and everyone were ok even though it was busy. Can’t speak highly enough about the staff. Obviously the shop itself is great but the staff really made it for me. Will be going back regularly now. Well done

very unprofessional costumer services. The person we approached looked like he wasn't willing to help or advise. Really disappointed with game to hire people who only disappoint their loyal costumers. I won't visit them again for sure and alo won't recommend game at all of that is how they treat costumers. After a long drive from where we like to that location just to get the new switch and trade in our old one we found a person who looked really not interested in their own offer. Not sure about the Tc and Cs of the offer and reading them infront of us while not even giving attention. He was looking for any excuse not to trade in even after show him the receipt for the new one.

I have been coming to game in Colchester since I was a little boy and game wasn't game it was electronics boutique, I have seen this store develop into a great place to by and trade games or consoles and tablets, mobile phones etc. The service is great the staff know what they are talking about and all are very welcoming and friendly people. Recently I added god of war to my collection and it was another worth while purchase and experience. Also the cherry on the cake they host a gaming arena at the back of the store called belong, a great place for kids and like minded adults to come along boast your skills or just have some fun, with competitions being held most of the time, there truly is something for everyone. It is nice to know your local game store has you covered when it comes to gaming, whether it is games, consoles or the like, defo give them a shout.

Overall was an Amazing experience. I went with my mum during the noon yesterday to get a few things for my PlayStation (games and stuff) there was a deal going on and the Cheshire or the staff at the time was very kind to explain everything and stuff. He also explained how we can exchange games or sell our old ones. Very good experience and kind staff. Recommended . Also this is not coming from a person forced to write this, I was a genuine customer

Really disappointing customer service today. For future reference, to avoid the passive aggression of the staff, do your trade ins before you do any purchase.

Wouldn't bother going 'In Store' because they are useless, I purchased a Series 2 Elite Controller and was told they would contact me in a few days" regarding getting the controller insured and never heard from them again

Absolutely useless if you need to speak to them. The number advertised online doesn't work and there's no way to speak to anyone unless visiting the store in person

I recently moved to Colchester & as I'm a total PS4 addict, i stopped by here to check out the latest releases.The staff were very helpful & they did not make me feel rushed or pressured at all.I noticed they take in old phones for cash or credit & as I have a few spare ones I went back to Game to sell one off them.The store was busy at the time I went in but the staff members were again very helpful & the staff member serving me had my phone checked & tested within a short time & after signing the documents & given the cash for my phone I was on my way again out the door.The store has a huge range of gaming merchandise & they do have a lovely selection of Christmas jumpers above the tills!! They are incredibly cute!! I do highly recommend Game. Many thanks again for all your help regards Justine

The worse ever experience after being a loyal game customer for a number of years. I went this morning to the Colchester game store in the Sportsdirect store to trade my switch console and was greeted by a salesperson who was not in the mood to deliver any service. He came up with one excuse after another not to fulfil this trade-in, first stating he got no cash, then he got no safe in-store, then stating it is only for any purchases made in-store before looking up the T&Cs and agreeing to look at my console. Eventually, he stated my console is broken because the kickstand does not keep still which is a well-known engineering issue with the old switch console. I truly felt some sort of passive aggression in his attitude and will definitely not step into this store again.
