The decision to contract Niall to design our extension was based on personal recommendations and a review of his portfolio of work. Comments identify Niall's integrity, his accredited expertise and professional delivery. From the outset he managed the whole process effectively and efficiently. Prior to the design stage he spent considerable time curating our lifestyle and needs. His knowledge of building statute was excellent. He also has the ability to translate and explain the complex language of his profession and the input of supporting agencies. For example, health and safety. Feedback from our builder reflects comments about the best level of detail he has been ever been given. The outcome is a fabulous extension that has had a massive impact on our quality of life.

I worked with Niall on a design for a one storey extension on my home. From our first meeting Niall was great, he really listened and helped me to turn the ideas that were in my head into a reality in a really achievable way. I was so surprised how well the design matched what I wanted even after only a few conversations, it was like he saw into my mind!!!! He was really knowledgeable, had all the right connections and supported with project managing the process up to the point of build which really took the stress away for someone like me that had never been through anything like this before. I really trusted him and I’m so pleased with the end result. I’m part way through the build now and can’t wait to see it all finished. Thank you Niall! When we first decided to start our project we weren't sure whether we needed an architect as we thought the money would be best spent somewhere else and we could do all the designing ourselves (really how hard could it be) After some research and speaking to our local planning office we realised that there could be a fair bit of work involved (well outside my ability) and started looking for an architect. This was all new to us as we had never needed an architect before and all the ones we had contact with seemed to be what we were after and were roughly the same price, but we did have to make a decision and we are so glad we chose Christie Architecture!From our first contact it seemed right to chose Christie Architecture, we just had a feeling about them and we were right! Niall has been amazing start to finish, very professional and easy to talk to. He didn't just throw ideas at us and plans he thought we should do, he listened to what we wanted and worked with that and has come back with a design that was simply stunning! It's great seeing drawings of a design on paper but when Niall provided us with the artist impression, wow! It just made it more real, we could visually see what our project would look like and we are excited!Niall has done everything from organising drainage scans to speaking to the structural engineer and building control. I had no issue emailing him about anything as he always helped and advised me as much as he could and always responded in a short time. I'm not sure what other architects designs would of been, but to be honest I don't care. Working with Niall has been great, he's made our plan of a build a reality and without him we would of never had the amazing design we do now, I couldn't recommend Christie Architecture enough! I will definitely use them again for any future projects.So if you're planning a build and think money would be better spent somewhere else then think again, it has been worth every penny!!

Niall helped us bring our extension to life. He listened, gave suggestions where needed and was always polite and professional. We got in touch with Niall in Winter 2022 about a single story extension to our home. Niall was friendly and responsive from Day 1 and when we met with him, we knew we would work really well together.Niall came round to carry out a measured survey of our house initially, which he was able to do whilst we worked from home.Niall came back a few weeks later with 3 design proposals. We really loved what he has put forwards and with a bit of tweaking we were able to settle on a design. Niall was quick to amend the design and provide us the final version. The design hit our brief and more - he proposed some great design elements we would have never thought of.We were then able to take the drawings to builders to discuss the work and receive some quotes. Unfortunately due to high building costs and interest rates at the moment, we have decided to hold off taking it any further. Niall was understanding and sympathetic when we told him our position.We hope when costs and rates come down we will be able to move forwards with the build. We would recommend Christie architecture ltd very good service from start to finish. We didn't do alot they did everything including talking to the planners, we got everything we had asked for passed couldn't ask for anything else. Would definitely recommend and use again if we ever move house

We instructed Niall to assist us with planning/building of our extension and it took away so much stress for us as Niall was very knowledgeable and we could leave him to deal with the planning side of things, as we didn’t have a clue where to start!He came round to our house initially to take measurements etc so he could produce the drawing plans which were then produced ready to submit for planning. Niall submitted planning for us and liaised with the relevant parties/authorities which helped us as we work full time and not always able to take time out of our days to carry our such tasks ourselves.Once planning was finalised Niall liaised with our builder to sort out the final touches ready for the build to begin and also throughout the build with any queries.We would definitely recommend to friends/family and it was worth the cost for us to not have to worry about anything as we could trust that Niall would deal with any queries/issues which arose.
