Chris has just finished installing our new log burner and we want to shout if from the rooftop! Previously we had a capped gas fire with back burner contraption, so Chris has done a huge amount of work prepping the area to completely change it into what it now is. From initially reaching out to Chris right until the end he has been responsive, extremely helpful, friendly and even discussed ways to reduce costs. We would highly recommend Chris for sweeps and fire instillation work. We have been left with a beautiful fireplace and all the relevant paperwork, alarm and safety precautions to enjoy. Just before last Christmas Chris inspected, refurbed and installed a log burner I had owned for about 30 years but had in storage for 23 of them. He also installed a steel flue lining and repaired the chimney. The standard of work was to meticulously high standards and both my partner and I were thrilled with the results. We enjoy cozy evenings in front of the fire - it adds welcome heat to the whole of the ground floor on the coldest days of winter and looks inviting and comforting. Everybody who sees it compliments it! Chris turned up when he said he would, worked without fuss and mess, and charged a very reasonable fee. Chris has just yesterday performed a sweep, no issues there (and very reasonable rate). I would not hesitate to recommend C J Chimneys he did a cracking job for us. Thanks Chris

Met Chris for the first time today. He turned up early and was very pleasant and professional. Our little woodburning stove was a first for him, we liked the fact he took time to find out about the make and model before coming to visit. Left everything clean and tidy. Highly recommend the friendly and professional service provided throughout. Chris is very professional from start to finish and is a clean worker. Really pleased with our new multi fuel burner. Chris also fitted two plates in two redundant chimneys to help to insulate the rooms from significant drafts yet allows some ventilation to continue. Plus caps fitted to chimney pots to stop rain and hail coming down the redundant chimneys which will also help to further insulate our home.

Can't recommend Chris enough. Really easy to book an appointment. Covid guidelines followed when visiting. Brought loads of dust sheets to cover from the front door to the fire being cleaned. Really knowledgeable and helpful. Did a fantastic job. Great service at a great price.

Had Chris install rain cap cowls and multi fuel cowls price very reasonable, clean and tidy also had respect for your property highly recommended would use again no problem
