The Practice at Ferndown

We took our newborn son to see Lucy. As he was born breech, we figured it would be good to see someone following his birth. At home we noticed he was heavily favouring one side for his neck and wasn’t able to turn the other way. Initially we came to Lucy for this, which she amazingly sorted with her skills. But throughout our few visits we discovered more things such as his digestive issues and Lucy provided us with positions and tips on how to use his body to aid his digestion and they helped him immensely.Our son loved seeing Lucy and was relaxed from start to finish. She was also incredibly honest and let us know once she felt his issues had been fixed so that we didn’t need to see her anymore. We had a great experience and would highly recommend Lucy for any baby. If any further issues arise, she would be our first call. ☺️

We took our daughter to see Lucy for cranial osteopathy when she was around 5-6 weeks in May. Leading up to the appointment, I was worried my daughter had a head preference to one side and couldn't turn her head to the right and grew concerned about her developing a flat head. She was a very unhappy baby and seemed to be considerably uncomfortable and constipated. She also struggled to breastfeed on one side.Lucy was very gentle and was able to work on her whilst she was feeding then gave her a tummy massage where she was smiling away and very content. Within 24hours of the first appointment our daughter was like a different baby! She could hold her head up and turn both ways and seemed much happier in herself and feeding was easier. Clearly her discomfort had been alleviated. We had another follow up appointment where Lucy noted a huge improvement in her spine and diaphragm.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lucy for your baby.

Rianne is truly excellent. I went to see her to help with recovery following ankle surgery which left me with pain and nerve damage. She has done a wonderful job of bringing my ankle back to life, to a point where I no longer think about it. Along the journey she’s also helped fix various other complaints that arose. She’s fabulous and I can’t recommend her enough.

I had been recommended here many times by a very good friend and I wasn't disappointed. George is a great human being as well as a practitioner. First visit, we have a plan and now to take the steps to move forwards. Thank you.

Bad posture due to work. Right side of back always ends up being shorter than the left side, resulting in excruciating pain. I see Lucy on a regular basis and she always straightens me out again. I have also seen her husband George for treatment and he is just as good. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent appointment with George. I was suffering with lower back pain. George spent the first part of the session going through my previous medical history before checking and manipulating my spine. He offered a detailed explanation of what was causing the pain as well as exercises and diet information. I had a follow up session a week later which also involved some spinal manipulation and massage. Overall an excellent and professional service.

Lucy was amazing in treating me during my pregnancy when I had pains. And after when I was recovering.Also very knowledgeable with babies.

I cannot rate the Pratice at Ferndown more highly. I managed to arrange a cancellation appointment with Lucy my regular Osteopath. I suffer with a rotated pelvis and sciatica and had been very uncomfortable hoping it would resolve itself. Lucy is highly recommended, friendly and went straight to the root of the problem. Bliss to be out of pain, and I have been following Lucys recommendations of heat 2-3 times a day and will return in 2 weeks for a follow up.If you are in pain, this Practice is amazing, and I’m very thankful. Have been to see Lucy a few times for my twins and then for myself. I couldn't recommend her enough. She has a natural touch when it comes to babies and makes you feel at ease knowing that your babies are in good hands!
