I only deliver 5 star to the best of the best.Accommodation is clean with reasonable size rooms. Well priced for location.All staff were so pleasant and welcoming,Breakfast was really good.Real value is the customers. Local and so inviting to join conversation. Felt like I was a local.Yes I would visit again.GEM of the SOUTH-WEST.

I stayed overnight here, and slept for almost 9 hours which is unheard of for me. The bed was super comfy, and the room was well equipped.The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming.The food is good, hearty. British pub grub dome really well. The chips were fluffy and crispy all at the same time. It's not gourmet but you aren't going to leave hungry.I visit Devon fairly regularly and will definitely be staying here again.

11 of us ( 3 families) met up for lunch at the start of our holiday. Some of us couldn’t get there before kitchen closed but the landlady made a pile of baguettes and paninis with a beautiful salad and coleslaw crops etc. We had a great meal in a charming garden behind the pub. Thank you so much

Old style pub with charm, it has a secret garden, not so secret now! The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is traditional, l had a Ploughman's ham and cheese. Dog friendly treats were provided.

Nice friendly locals pub, with helpful staff, good beer and excellent food at sensible prices. Can recommend both pies, which come with mash or chips and four kinds of veg (plus tasty gravy). We'll be back!

Friendly community feel to the place, pleasant vibe from staff and locals.Good range of prices on the menu of proper pub-grub. Meal came with additional vegetables making it both indulgent and healthy. Washed down with a decently kept pint.
