Best Chinese I’ve ever had and not overpriced. The food is amazing and the staff is so polite. When I was pregnant, I craved their food so much and went there everyday except for Tuesdays as they are closed, they paid special attention to my orders. Thank you.

The BEST Chinese take away. Reminds me of late 90s early 2000s classic Chinese take away before many of them sadly went down hill. The Village is one of the rare ones that really know what they’re doing! Consistently great food at such good value which is so hard to find these days. I’m in South Norwood and I’ve tried them all in the area and so glad we discovered The Village a few years ago. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Personal favourite dishes are Ribs in BBQ sauce, King Prawns in Black Bean Sauce, Prawn Toast, Crispy Chilli Beef, Mixed Veg, Chicken Balls. They never let you down. Seriously very hard working and lovely people run this place. Don’t waste your money or time elsewhere. 100% The Village every time! Bring cash.

First time here as my usual Chinese can't be bothered to answer/sort their phones! (80x calls later then told an hour wait)Well the reviews don't lie! Fantastic flavours and great choice, service with a smile too. It's cash only but there's a cash point nearby so all good! I walked in and although it was meant to be a longer wait, the lovely lady made it a little quicker for me.5 stars and I will be back thank you!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Cheap yet delicious takeaway. Even if you don't have the best spice tolerance most of the food options are fine. Friendly people work here as well!!

I used to live close by and in many year's i have never found a takeaway as good as i have from here. Would always whip up food for me very quick and was never any problems in the 100s of time's i have ordered. Always respectable and honest and would tell me when their drinks weren't very cold so better to nip to the shop if i had time. The food is absolutely excellent from their beef to their duck to their pork. I hope to visit one day again in future. So if you ever see this goodluck for the future from Tom who used to live across the road.

Best Chinese shop!!! Great food!!! Amazing staff!!!I have been going here for years and not once have I been disappointed. I moved away from the area but still travel to collect food from here because its tasty and well priced!! I fully recommend this shop for anyone looking for a good Chinese take away!!

My favourite Chinese spot and I have tried many. You can tell a good Chinese spot from the chilli oil and their one is splendid. Their BBQ duck is sweet, sticky and spicy with star anise coming through. Their honey ribs and salt and pepper ribs fall off the bone and I’ll highly recommend. Their prawn balls too got that good sweet and sour sauce and the dough is light and fluffy. Special fried rice is top notch. It’s my number one go to place when I’m not cooking at home.

Me and my family have eaten from this Chinese shop for several years it does look dated and perhaps needs newer decor, however don't be fooled the Chinese food here is the best I have tried many and this particular shop always cooks it just right every time!!! Very delicious and I highly recommend they are happy to always meet my requirements I will remain a loyal customer thanks
