Honley Surgery

Poor surgery, get a different doctor on every appointment which in itself is a nightmare as phone is either off the hook or not answered or busy. Even though when eventually making the appointment and being asked the problem by receptionist, none of the doctors ive seen, every do any preparatory research, so have to tell the same thing time and time again to each doctor as they don't read the notes.Surgery has hundreds of pointless leaflets plastered all over the wall, which no one reads as there's too many, and its a very drab environment. If you try and book your own doctor its sometimes 2 months in advance. Only the non popular doctors have appointments free and the most unpopular one truly needs to up his game, as he has zero person skills, is a bad communicator, god knows why they are a doctor.Have changed surgeries now, would not recommend Honley surgery to anyone

This surgery is the best in Huddersfield, I can always get an appointment and the staff on reception are superb, not sure why the sub 3 star rating but i think maybe people only review when they have an issue, shame as the staff are fantastic cheers

Rude Lauren on front desk thinks she’s a doctor when all she qualified to do is answer a phone I went down to this shambles of a surgery begging for help due to my mental health and she said no can’t help and then started to argue with me Lauren needs to get of front desk and clean toilets horrible woman who’s been dragged up not brought up glad to leave this surgery and advise anyone to go to holmfirth doctors AVOID AVOID AVOID. taking this further with the bored

Nurses are not trained properly. Went in for the depopevera (contraceptive injection) which is supposed to be inserted into the outer corner of your buttock, instead I was injected in my right side almost at my hip bone. The injected area was weak and I couldn't sleep for 3 days because of the pain. It then turned into a lump, popped and became infected. Informed 101 and they suggested many things could have caused it and that it was the completely wrong place for the injection.

Every single appointment is over 30 minutes delayed. Prescribed items that you can’t actually get anywhere. They’ve contacted 4 different people somehow thinking it was me with numbers I’ve never provided. An absolute nightmare

Always lovely helpful reception staff. Always get a same day appointment if unwell. I understand the pressures on GP practices and the NHS and appreciate that we still have a surgery. Thank you, you are all appreciated.

Totally incompetent , I booked an Azma review for last Monday, it was a phone review due to Covid, I waited in all morning, no call. A couple of days later I rang them to see what had gone wrong, I was told the call was made, but that I did not answer. I said that carnt be as I waited all morning, I checked my number with them and was told it was correct. I booked another appointment for the following Monday again no call. I rang them again, and apron checking the number with them for the second time, the receptionist told me it had been written down incorrectly, I was quit annoyed, when I complained about this I was told, “ well if you don’t want us to look after your health” and I have not been told when I can expect this phone call

Extremely good surgery with kind, caring and professional staff, The reception staff are always very friendly and helpful, responding to all enquiries promptly. The GPs are all fantastic, I would highly recommend this surgery, thank you to everyone for the amazing job you do.

one of the worst surgery's i have ever had to use. Where to start with what they do wrong? The whole surgery just does not function, phone lines always engaged, no hold system, massive cue out of the door as reception also does not work. The new prescription phone line is crazy, you have to leave a message with about a dozen details. Just recently redecorated and it now resembles a 1980s youth club.
