I've used the metro a few times to travel between Sunderland and nearby places.Trains have always been on time.Sure, it's all been built on the cheap but it does what it says on the tin.

Very good system.Begining to show it's age could do with new rolling stock.Today used the system and it was at half service because it was so cold .But wish more UK cities had such a system

Traveled on metro this week for first time and wasn't sure where to go, and my conectingtrain was arriving any time! Asked a member of staff(Gent with tatooes & piercings) sorry don'tknow your name, Couldn't be more helpful,Got me on the right train. Many thanks again !

extremely average service. The carriages are old and almost rotten now. Delays are becoming more common and you always end up by missing the carriage and waiting 10 more minutes! the door 'open' siren is extremely loud

The metro is not what it used to be, frequent delays and breakdowns. Some stations are modernised, but the system feels very 1980s. Trains are dirty, but that’s dirty peoples fault really, as I have seen plenty of cleaners.

Unreliable beyond belief, I couldn't write a review to reflect how bad the service is because people would think I was joking. Last time I tried to use it they were on strike, this time no trains on half the line all weekend for maintenance. Developing countries I've been to have better metro than Tyne and Wear.
