Don't waste your money or time with Talbots Law; it's the worst service I've ever received from a company. As a first-time buyer, I was recommended Talbots Law by my estate agents and mortgage advisor. The process should have been straightforward since there was no chain, and both the buyer and seller were using Talbots. However, they showed little effort in communication, often not responding to emails or direct calls to their office. They even missed the initial completion date, and they failed to request required documents until after the deadline had already passed. After weeks of my time was wasted chasing them and requesting responses to emails, they finally agreed to a secondary completion date, which was set 22 days after the initial one had been missed.

Shambolic service.Sloppy erroneous legal work, which patch the dog could have done better.Extreme delays and inactivity with absolutely no excuse.Ignored calls and emails, leaving the estate agents desperately holding together a chain by a thread.Blame shifting from chocolate teapot senior management team.Abhorrent money grabbers somehow making conveyancing extend to over 6 months. I have reported to the Legal Ombudsman and the press to save others the misery.

The seller for the house I purchased used Talbots, I had the worst experience with them. A no chain sale took them 4 months to sort out, they lost contract paperwork and lied to my solicitor and the estate agents. They don't respond to emails or calls and delays things way longer than they needed to be. A completion date was set and they still wouldn't get things done until just a day before. I would not use them and definitely would not recommend. The reviews for the Brierley Hill and dudley branch are mostly negative which proves my point.

They may offer you a relatively cheap legal fee for the service. But don't use it unless you are ready to wait more than 6 months for property sale without chain onward. (Even I lost the first buyer due to their delay and inactive)

We were recommended to use Talbots Law for our new build purchase and our house sale.On the whole the service was okay. A person was assigned to our file, which changed a lot.We would like to thank Seraena Thomas for her prompt reply to emails and service when selling our property through to completion.

The worst experience I have had when moving house. My move was a no chain for myself or my buyer. I accepted the offer on 5th Jan 2023 and finally moved out 22nd May 2023. They didnt assign anyone to my case at the beginning of the process for weeks due to an oversight while restructuring their business. Jasdeep and Wakib were extremely hard to get hold of by phone or my email. I also requested a call back from their Manager Emma regarding the poor service on numerous occasions. I never received a return call or a response email from her. I repeatedly asked if Jasdeep and Wakib if they had everything they needed to move the sales on asap be told yes" only to be asked days and weeks later for more information. The first desired completion date of 29th March which was I was told to be "do able" came and went as did the next 2 dates. On completion they didn't forward the funds to my mortgage provider on the agreed date of the move

This company is pathetic DO NOT USE.Put bid in for a house in April still not moved in was told by solicitor that I would be in the property by end of August so sold my property but still not in my new property so now I am now looking at the possibility of being jobless and possibly going to be homeless soon.Total incompetence I am complaining to the legal ombudsman but have to give them 8 weeks from when I first complained which is no help to me really.We have also tried to contact Prayal Patel (managing Director) both via email and phone to get ignored

All in all poor service. Was a difficult sale, not made any easier by this solicitors. Had several people dealing with my sale throughout the process and on many occasions emails were ignored and phone calls were not returned to myself and the agent who sold the house. Did get some improvement towards the end but sadly too late by then. Wouldnot use again.

Our business with Talbot Law unfortunately is still ongoing. We have been non chain chain way longer than we should’ve been, (we have first time buyers and we’re moving into an empty property) we have had several case managers assigned and pass it over / leave the company / be unresponsive. Emails receive no bounce back and remain unanswered. Enquires raised beginning of July remain unanswered at the beginning of September. We now have buyers that are homeless and sleeping anywhere they can lay their head as the sale has still not been able to be completed. Incompetence at its finest. Avoid wasting your time and money.

Both our sale and next house purchase are with Talbots, our sale with Brierley Hill. After several delays at both offices, wasting weeks and weeks of time. A mistake was made recently that has now put our sale at significant risk of falling through.
