It wasn't really clean. But the waves clashed on the path and that was beautiful

It was really relaxing to walk around as you got a 360° view of the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will certainly be coming back. I definitely recommend going there. When you come make sure you don't leave any rubbish and you look after the beautiful beaches.

I'm lucky enough to live in Margate. As a child we used to go daily through the summer holidays, I took my children and now I take my grandchildren. The pool is on the beach so it's tidal, when the tide is out you can walk around the pool on its wide wall, go for a paddle in the shallows or swim at the deeper end.Our favourite is taking buckets and bacon with the crabbing line, we can spend hours having loads of fun.

Nice little addition to the beach. Could do with some more care from the council as it can get quite dirty at times with rubbish etc

I have never seen a tidal pool. I felt very excited and happy to see a wall built on sea shore and by reading comments, I assumed I could swim there. But, there is a warning board which says it's a boating pool and NO SWIMMING.Water is very dirty and I don't think it's meant for swimming anymore.Area was calm and peaceful. Have never seen such a beach.

A walled-off area of the sea which makes it a bit safer for swimming - especially as the Lido is abandoned. The surrounding wall gets a bit submerged when the tide is in.

We used to go to Margate every year when I was a kid + while mum + dad were sitting in their deck chairs, I was once allowed to go in the swimming pool, only because there were 2 other children with me from the boarding house where we were staying. The girl being, I believe 11yrs old with her younger brother was looking out for me. I was 9 at the time + I'd been in the water playing for about 4hrs when mum called + said it was time to get out of the pool as we were going to go + get some lunch..Me being a typical child, pleaded with mum to let me stay just a little while longer. About 10mins later mum came back + this time I obeyed. The girl was behind me as I was walking on the sand + stopped us to point out that I was bleeding quite badly. I looked down + I was leaving a large trail of blood behind on the sand. While we were in the pool some older boys were smashing bottles on the wall of the pool + as I'd been in the water so long, I felt nothing but I'd cut the side of my big toe + the ball of my foot had a nasty gash near my little toe + the one next to it.A man on the beach had seen what was happening + picked me up + carried me across the sand, up the stairs, all the way round the other side of the pier to an amusement arcade where we could call an ambulance. This was 1971..I was quite plump at the time + the poor man's knees were buckling by the time he put me down...lol..I ended up at Margate General for stitches. My dad wasn't too pleased as not only did we have to cut our holiday short by 2 days, but we had to get a black cab all the way home from Victoria Station instead of train + bus back towards Watford as I couldn't walk..
