I wonder how many people would cope with a phone line constantly ringing in their ears? So, spare a thought for the staff here who, have to deal with this day in day out.Yes, it is difficult sometimes to get through to make an appointment. But, that’s to be expected for a BUSY surgery!Even in a large Hospital you have to wait for a long time to be seen. It’s the sign of the times. In a perfect world we’d all like to get through first time, not be in a queue and spend half an hour with a doctor telling them all about yourself.Well? Have some patience and you will eventually be attended to.I have a lot of respect for the receptionists and have not had any reason to complain.Patience are a virtue.

Have had no problems with the surgery . It takes a while to get through on the phone but have always found the receptionists to be helpful and friendly . I wouldn't want their job .

Since Covid kicked in, the surgery has gone terribly worse. I called for my child overdue vaccines and receptionist told me its not Urgent. No routine apportionment is available, to speak to a healthcare practitioner, you have to call on the day between 8:30 and 9:00 however, no one will answer the phone calls. Turn up at the surgery and you are told no booking is available over the counter either. The Communication, care, compassion and competency has vanished at the time we needed it most. Absolute Joke the receptionist staff were very rude. I will not recommend this surgery to anyone.

Can’t ever get through to the surgery I had to call over 40 times, to go down there and call from outside the building and they answered on a second ring. Phone system very cleverly set up in the hopes of the patient giving up trying to get an appointment. Terrible

Can I first of all clarify that the reason you can always get an appointment at this surgery is because there is no pre booking system. Pre booking takes valuable appointments and time that people invariably fail to turn up for. Yes it takes 90+ calls to get through but generally you'll get an appointment that day. I know many friends who cannot get an appointment with their GP for weeks/months. I've never encountered any issues with the reception staff. They have a very difficult job and have never been anything but helpful to me. You get what you give eh?

Doctors have no medical knowledge I am 17 years old yet I was talked to as if I was a young child. Went in with a possible ear infection only to be told I’ve probably just been playing with my ears even though I’ve been in agony all weekend and my ear is weeping. Completely ruined my confidence.

They only do same day appointments but you can never get through to them on the phone... by the time you get through hours after opening all the appointments are gone and you do the same thing all over again tomorrow... and on it goes.GPs don't always read e-consults properly or medication requests and you can receive a sick note / prescription or a declined prescription. However the e-consult is usually the quickest way to hear back by far. Some GPs / receptionists / staff have been really good, however when originally registering found the 'rules' overly strict and unfriendly- as in a receptionist wouldn't take in a form at reception 5 minutes before 10am or something even though I had to get to work. I dread phoning them.

lack of medical knowledge of doctors is the least of the problems. the doctor is unable to perform the examination. 2 meet him . meaning the NHS has to pay 2 times our money! . During the conversation I told him that I don't smoke cigarettes. I got an e-mail to quit smoking! .During the conversation I told him that I don't smoke cigarettes. I got an e-mail to quit smoking! . now bills the NHS success the patient is non-smoker! this is corruption, theft
