Old-Bridge

The rudest venue I’ve ever spoken to!… I called about planning my daughter’s first birthday and the lady immediately laughed at me and replied “you wouldn’t be able to afford us”. How disgustingly rude and unprofessional. I hope you know you lost out as we’re now paying someone else a substantial amount of money to cater for her day.

Wow what a lovely venue and location. Being a wedding band, The Shuffles Band based in Bristol, we get to play at a lot of really nice venues. The owners at Old-Bridge were really helpful and friendly. Their marquee was exceptionally well presented with a lot of attention to detail. Nice and warm inside the marquee despite the cold outside. The garden was immaculate. The windows at the back of the marquee were a great idea as you could clearly see the garden in daylight and it reflected all the lights during the evening party. The owners are a genuinely lovely happy husband and wife team. We would recommend Old-Bridge as a perfect garden and marquee wedding venue.

This is probably the prettiest marquee I have visited. It was beautifully decorated with fairy lights. The food was good. Unfortunately it was a wet day, despite bring the most beautiful dry and hot summer for years, and the beautiful grounds could not be enjoyed.

The venue has a lovely setting and feel to it.The owners are so helpful and happy to help with any need required.

Lovely function space for weddings, etc, set on the grounds of an old farmhouse. Large marquee tent with dance floor, bar and lighting. Plenty of space on the grounds for various functions. The camping area is nice with 5 yurt style tents and composting toilets in a shower block. No electricity in the tents, however. Could use a fire pit in the camping area. Note: very careful entry/exit from dual carriageway is required, or use the single width farm lanes which provide access to side roads.

I don’t know where to begin, maybe be a big thank you to Old Bridge for allowing us to have by far the best possible wedding day we could have imagined.We visited the venue in April 2022 and fell in love immediately. John and Liz were so welcoming and friendly.Shortly after we returned to secure our wedding for the following year.We received all the relevant information via email and were left to our own devices to plan our special day. John, Liz and Ariane were only an email away ready to offer any support or assistance.A few weeks before the wedding they allowed us to revisit to remind ourselves of the venue and layout. Nothing was ever too much or an inconvenience for them.We arrived at 9am the day before the wedding to set everything up. They were both on site, ready to offer any support should we need it. They kindly helped put out any last decorations on the morning of the wedding and spent the morning weather watching to ensure than nothing was damaged or ruined.The whole experience has been absolutely 10/10. The wedding it’s self was perfect, regardless of the weather and the state the bottom of my dress got in very quickly i honestly can’t fault anything about Old Bridge. We received so many positive comments from our guests about how wonderful it felt inside the marquee due to how sturdy and well designed it was internally. The flooring, lighting and dance floor really does give it the perfect look!We were able to design our wedding exactly how we wanted it, with some fantastic photo opportunities and beautiful scenery.We can’t thank you enough ❤️ all our love The Vincent family

1st time visiting this amazing venue,So pretty

Attended as guests for the wedding of Mr and Mrs Gilbert and we were blown away by the setting. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The atmosphere was exceptional. It was the perfect venue, relaxed and absolutely beautiful.

Unique wedding venue located in the heart of Somerset. The house is absolutely beautiful and I doubt you will find anywhere in Somerset that can beat The Old Bridge for its style and hospitality. A great wedding venue in a very beautiful part of the country. Thank you to everyone at The Old Bridge for a great day. See you all soon.
