Islesburgh House Hostel
Pretty nice place. Kitchen is huge and very well equipped. There is a big dining room, laundry room and other places to hang out. The water and heating was also very good. And the stuff very helpful. There is a luggage room available if you are taking the late ferry is great. The rooms themselves are fine, but are the worst point if I have to choose. There are separate doors for the toilet and the shower. But the sink is in neither of those but on a wall right in the room. The beds are not as comfortable as they could be, mattresses are a bit old and the beds are a bit too short.

Excellent hostel in a lovely old building, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Easy booking and check-in processes, with individual room keys. Plenty of hot water, laundry and drying room. Good kitchen facilities, spacious and well equipped, with a nice big dining room. Located in the centre of Lerwick, yet quiet and with parking area outside. Highly recommended.

Nice clean hostel. Has a lovely game room with a pool table, and a separate TV room. Kitchen is not huge but is adequate. Showers and bathrooms are shared. Does have laundry capabilities at 2 pounds per load. Not to far a walk from basically everything in Lerwick. My one complaint would be that you have to rent towels for 2 pounds but other than that it is a lovely hostel to stay at.

Lovely, well run, and totally flexible hostel: where else can you check in off the mainland ferry at 8 am, make breakfast in the members kitchen, meet such pleasant company, and enjoy wifi and hot showers - as well as staying in a grand old house which is lovingly cared for in traditional style? This place is a real gem, and incredibly good value for money. A real home from home. Staff are great, and I will be back.

Very relaxed. Pool table and vending machine in the games room so you have time to pass spending spare change. They give free use and claim of fridges and cupboards so you can buy cereals at the co op etc. Lovely place to stay in - beds arent the most comfy but everything else is exactly what you want. There are washing machines and tumble dryers amd you can buy toiletries etc

Great accommodation at a great price. Stayed in the female dorm and the room was spacious and comfortable. There are individual shower rooms which is really nice. Room, showers, bathrooms, everything is cleaned on a daily basis. The self catering kitchen is big as is the dining room. The people who stay here are pretty respectful of everyone and the communal spaces. Staff is helpful and friendly. Worth every dollar.
