This place is the real deal. Old school place where you can have a beer or 5 and just talk about with the owner Mike and local folks. Lotta history here and lotta good beer and conversation.I was in Travellers Rest last Easter and visited there again late September. This visit was excellent and I managed to roll a few rounds on the bowling area. Finest folks you will ever meet at this pub. Thanks Mike and everyone see you again soon.

A little gem, step back in time in this delightful old fashioned pub.Nothing brash nothing flash just a gentle and welcoming country pub with a decent pint and welcoming landlord, and don't ask if they do food, they don't!

Great little survivor set in a bucolic location. Family owned, and family run, this multi room pub has been in the same family for over 120 years. Very friendly atmosphere, and the owners are most welcoming. Traditional offerings in period surroundings. No frills, but plenty to chat about. Marvel at the neat bowling green out back. Two cask ales always on. Highly recommended.

Definitely no frills and very much in contrast to the tollemache arms down the road. It gets four stars as the beer was superb, a fantastic pint of weetwoods and a glass of wine and change from £5! Two rooms and the bar is at the back. A bit old-fashioned and unchanged for many years. Outside toilet. Very friendly barman and customers.

A remote, old-fashioned bar which is a real step back in time to the 1960s. Usually only open in the evening, it's worth a visit if your passing. The bar man was friendly enough and ale was fine, just two to choose from. The outside toilets are disappointing but don't let that put you off.

Been going there for 30 years. Great landlord, really friendly locals. Excellent beer. A true British pub with an unchanged classic interior. Love it!

A great old fashioned boozer, just the way they used to be. No tv's, music or pretentious customer's. The landlord Mike is always friendly and engaging in conversation as are most of the clientele. A true friendly hostelry serving well kept beer at sensible prices, and long may it continue!
