Junction Swing Bridge
Saul junction is a lovely peaceful and scenic place to visit, with a visitor centre, car parking (pay & display), cafe and canal marina all in close proximity to the swing bridge. The junction is where the Gloucester & Sharpness canal passes through the Stroudwater Navigation (Cotswolds canal), which once connected the River Severn to Stroud and parts of this canal are still in use or being restored.

Great place for a walk along the canal. Nice cafe and ample parking. Parking is by app or cas only, no card facility.

There is a cafe, but you have to pay to park your car, so decided against supporting this little independent cafe.

Lovely place for a summer walk along the canal. We stopped at the Stables for lunch then walked up and over the bridge then back down again.

Lovely beauty spot. Parking not expensive £2 for 4 hours. Cafe on the corner. Sit and watch the boars go by or walk the tow path.

Junction Swing Bridge
A beautiful spot along the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal. There is lots to see around Saul Junction and you can walk for miles along the canal. Parking is available right by the canal, there is a cafe, the Cotswolds canal visitor center and public toilets. There are also some picturesque villages near Saul Junction like Frampton on Severn, where you will find a pub, little cafe and village store.I cycled to Saul Junction from Tudor Caravan Park in Slimbridge, which is a beautiful ride along the canal and which takes you through Frampton on Severn. I can’t wait to visit again!
