Fantastic place--I took a bigger group and we could book a lovely table for all of us to sit together. I'd say the best new indie place in the area. Great vegetarian options too, and the staff were super efficient. They did a three course deal when we were there, which was good value for money.

Myself and colleagues had a really lovely meal at the Reader Restaurant and Bar - the food was fantastic and the team went above and beyond in terms of service and also catering to dietary requirements in our party. It was also great to hear more about the incredible work that is carried out through their reading sessions and the impact that has. Thanks for a lovely visit - we will definitely be back!

My husband and I took our son and his girlfriend for a post graduation meal at this lovely little restaurant. Lovely atmosphere and we were greeted by Chandra and Faye as soon as we arrived. Very good service, we had drinks including excellent cocktails to start, followed by amazing food. Very well presented and extremely tasty. I had the Chicken Supreme for my main and the chicken was cooked to perfection. Chandra and Faye were attentive throughout. All in all a very enjoyable evening. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Massive portions of delicious food at great prices with incredibly friendly staff in a cozy spot. I went here to try out the Reader’s new location where Cuthbert’s had been. I’m vegetarian, so I was happy to have some choice. Everyone was very friendly and attentive.I was shocked by just how good the food is and how much there was. Like sure you can have really tasty food or a lot of food, not both. But this was both. And oh my was it all so perfectly-balanced. You could taste every ingredient perfectly and everything was so incredibly fresh. I don’t know how anyone could spice things so well either, but this was a true gem. The espresso martinis were also absolutely yummy. And a steal with that 2 for £12.18 out of 10 would absolutely recommend this place! May bring friends here in the future.

Hidden gem! Amazing food at an amazing price. The portions were double the size of what you would expect from this style of food! The service was excellent, water as soon as we sat down and attentive staff. Highly recommend coming here before it’s so popular that you can’t get a table!

Stopped in today while waiting to see a client. The coffee was excellent, food a delight and the people working there lovely. I love the decor, especially the calming green they've chosen for the walls.Will definitely be visiting next time I'm in the area.
