I shop here regularly and often seek advice as well. The staff are friendly, approachable and very knowledgeable. For a relatively small store they have pretty much everything you will ever need from a DIY perspective. I have often tried to purchase something and the staff have highlighted a more effective and cheaper way to do the job. Although slightly more expensive than a huge chain store I would rather pay that little extra for the amazing service I receive everytime I'm there.

Its nice to have a diy shop on the high street. They have most of what you need for diy project with a great selection of high quality paints.

Wanted a hasp & staple they had exactly what I wanted, the young man who severed me knew what I was after made a nice change from most who don't know a screwdriver from a chisel, like stepping back in time great shop may it last forever

Wonderful shop, knowledgeable friendly staff where you can find almost anything you need, and they will sell you one of something if you only need one!

I always enjoy going to Reeve and Sons for hardware and plumbing. Good old fashioned customer service. And they have what you want.

A very peculiar encounter indeed. Was looking for wall fixings and mentioned to the man serving I had visited Screwfix where his attitude changed and he told me he wouldn’t be interested in serving me if I had been anywhere else (I live minutes from screwfix) Unsure whether he was joking or not I continued with my purchase only to be told the owner would tell me the same thing, that purchases this small meant nothing to them and it wasn’t a large amount of money I was spending. I was so shocked I didn’t challenge it but surely whatever you buy is business and isn’t to be questioned, and a pack of screws today might be thousands of pounds on items another time so surely respect is the key? I guess I won’t be returning there again…..! Beware of mentioning any other retailer in this store!!!
