We appointed Flockhart Architects Ltd to design a sun room extension onto our existing bungalow in Angus. The planning and building control phases all went smoothly and efficiently with Flockhart Architect's expertise.The design of the sun room took everything we asked for into consideration. Alex gave us choices and recommendations for the selection of fittings and finishes, and went out of his way to make sure everything arrived on schedule. Flockhart Architect's attention to detail is excellent and very modern. They also made sure that the whole process went as smoothly as possible during construction.We are absolutely delighted with the design of our new Sun Room and would highly recommend them.

We worked with Flockhart Architects on a major renovation of our 1930s bungalow. Alex was the lead architect on the project but we also benefited from very helpful inputs from Amanda along the way. Alex gave us confidence from the first time we met him to discuss options to upgrade a tired and unusable attic space and we have been delighted with our decision to work with him and Amanda.Alex guided the project through all stages from initial concepts to build including the development of a range of options for our consideration, planning and building warrant applications, tendering and the appointment of a builder, and project management of the build itself. Alex is creative, knowledgeable and diligent, and provided excellent advice at all stages of the project. The drawings he produced were excellent, showing his real attention to detail, and gave us confidence that the work would be undertaken exactly as intended. His role as project manager during the build phase was invaluable, his excellent professional relationship with the builder being a major contributor to a successful and stress-free project completion.We are delighted with the outcome, and while we do not usually make recommendations, we would have no hesitation in recommending Flockhart Architects.
