An amazing wedding venue!We recently had our wedding at Valleyside and it was incredible. Aside from the venue being stunningly beautiful the help we got from Emma and Matt was brilliant. They are extremely organised and calm during the planning period and of course on the day itself.On the day it unfortunately rained, however, Matt & Emma were very calm and we moved into an indoor ceremony (in fact we made history!). Even so, our indoor ceremony was intimate and still special. They were very helpful in setting up before the day and nothing was too much.Thanks so much guys!

We recently attended an event at Valleyside Barn hosted by Emma & Matt and must commend the high professional standard of their service and warmth of hospitality.The venue is absolutely superb: warm, capacious yet private with oodles of natural light. The setting and ease of access to outdoor terrace areas serve to extend that sense of openness and afford guests the option for extra space to chill as befits the weather.The website photos are totally authentic and truly represent the originality of this venue and its glorious setting. There is a wonderful diversity of options for where to stage different elements of whatever ceremony is being held. We’ve seen this venue develop over the years and can bear witness not only to a tasteful evolution but also an ethos which will welcome future guests and ensure their event runs smoothly.Catering and drinks were served at pace and with ease. Genuine care was taken to ensure this event passed without hitch. There was nothing to fault about either the preparations or event operation, and no request was too much trouble whenever made. Cannot praise or thank enough such supreme hosts, Matt and Emma.

From the very beginning Matt and Emma have made our wedding experience so special! They have been beyond helpful throughout, making sure everything was perfect! The communication has been amazing even helping us out with some of the suppliers who’s communication was poor, Emma would chase them for responses on our behalf which helped make things less stressful for us. They have been so welcoming whenever we needed to come by and worked so hard to ensure everything was ready for our big day (eg the refurbishment of the honeymoon suite, building of the tables etc). At no point did I worry about anything to do with the venue as I had full confidence in them that all would be ready and to such a high standard.The planning and prepping of a wedding can be very daunting and often worrying that you have forgotten something but Emma was amazing to send me a list of the different things that would be at the venue and then a list of suggestions as to what we will need/want to bring ourselves.The venue itself is absolutely stunning! Rustic yet modern, big yet has that intimate feel about it. We loved the courtyard bar for the night before where we could have a few drinks with a few family and friends, all cosy with the log fire and the gorgeous lighting outside. Although it is a new venue, the efficiency and professionalism is that of somewhere that has been running for years!The morning of the big day started with a lovely pre-ordered breakfast in the honeymoon suite for myself and my maid of honour. The room was perfect for us and my other bridesmaids to get ready in with a lovely spacious area with chairs and mirrors for our hair and makeup to be done. The lighting, decor and amenities were perfect along with the stunning high spec en-suite.The day itself ran like clockwork, any hitches were sorted even before I was aware of them. We had glorious sunshine so were able to have have our ceremony outside in the courtyard and enjoy some stunning photos by the pond, we then had our drinks reception out on the terrace which again gave a beautiful background for photos, then into the barn for our wedding breakfast. The whole day just flowed so fluently and all our guests loved the venue, some have even taken details for their own wedding. Matt and Emma had a plan B ready if the weather wouldn’t allow for an outdoor ceremony which again made it all stress free for us.The morning after Emma bought up a lovely breakfast along with Mr and Mrs mugs, it’s the little details like that which make it extra special. We were not rushed out of the room, we were left to enjoy a calm morning as newlyweds.Even after the day was over Matt and Emma have been so welcoming and caring as we needed to go back for some more photos as my son wasn’t in many of them, they make you feel that you’re not just another couple, they’re such a kind, lovely couple themselves.Valleyside Barns is a hidden gem and absolutely stunning, I’d definitely recommend it for anyone’s wedding, with an added bonus to have such incredible owners who will go above and beyond to ensure your day is more perfect than you could have imagined.

Valleyside Barn is the most incredible rustic wedding venue. I have photographed one of my favourite weddings there & cannot wait to go back. All the staff were amazing & every part of the day was intricately thought out. Even when rain showed, they had a backup plan in place and was beautiful. I will always recommend this venue & cannot wait to come back.

A lovely venue. Matt and Emma were lovely and supportive. We had a quick turn around inside due to the rain but iEmma made sure everything was set up exactly how our daughter wanted it. I would certainly recommend the venue.

We had our wedding at Valleyside Barn at the end of June 2022. From the very begging of getting in touch, Emma and Matt have been friendly, generous and incredibly helpful. They allowed us to create the wedding of our dreams, in a venue that can only be described as stunning!They were flexible and helped facilitate everything we wanted. The barn is renovated to an incredibly high standard, and allowed for a fantastic day of celebration and parties. We were able to use the outside space to play cricket and football, and generally show our guests how beautiful Devon is. Matt even went to the trouble of turning on all the fairy lights when it got dark, without anyone asking him to. Emma and Matt made the day run seamlessly. Even when the weather forecast took a turn for the worse the day before the wedding, Emma and Matt had a plan B which was stress free from our perspective.There were multiple options for wonderful photo places, which have allowed us to get great images from the day. The experience of staying in the bridal suite was phenomenal. Emma was diligent, timely and nothing-but a force of positivity and support on the day before, the day of and the day after our wedding.Having the glamping pods on site made easy accommodation for guests who had travelled afar.Overall, a beautiful venue in a fantastic location with exceptional owners. Thank you very much for all that you have done for us, we would highly recommend this venue to people wanting a fun, stunning and personalised wedding.

My husband and I had the absolute pleasure of celebrating our special day at Valleyside Barn on the 8th of July, 2023, and we couldn't have asked for a more magical experience. The lush greenery, the charming rustic barn, and the breath taking views of the surrounding valley created an enchanting backdrop for our ceremony and reception. Our guests were in awe of the stunning location, and many commented that it was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever seen.However, what truly sets Valleyside Barn apart is the exceptional team behind it. Emma and Matt, from the very beginning of our wedding planning journey, were by our side, guiding us and turning our visions into reality. Their attention to detail, and genuine care for making our day perfect were evident in every interaction we had with them.Emma's creativity and knack for understanding exactly what we wanted made the planning process smooth and enjoyable. She took the time to listen to our ideas and offered insightful suggestions that elevated every aspect of the event. Her organizational skills are truly commendable – no detail was too small for her to handle, and she made sure everything ran like clockwork.Matt, with his calm demeanour, managed the logistical and practical aspects flawlessly. His expertise ensured that everything from seating arrangements to sound setup was executed seamlessly.On the day itself, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment knowing that Emma and Matt had everything under control.Our wedding day was a dream come true, and we will forever cherish the memories created at Valleyside Barn.Jamie and James
