What a lovely little restaurant this is. Based just off the motorway, this is a lovely little meeting point for friends or families. We came on Sunday and of course I had to try the roast, my partner had the Hunters Chicken Schnitzel. The trio roast was a behemoth, even more so with the added pigs and blankets on side! The sticky chicken starter and Brownie were also lovely.Only slight downside is it was a little bit nippy where we were sat, and the chilli on the sticky chicken was phenomenally hot, maybe because the seeds were left in.Would 100% return again!

Only called in for a drink, limited real ales, just Doombar today, it was very quiet.Been a long time since we ate here, but we ventured in this time. They now split the area up, bar and restaurant side, if sitting in the bar area you order at the bar, if in the restaurant they take your order at your table. The menu has a mix of starters, mains and deserts. The bar is limited on drinks, just 1 real ale and two largers, other drinks also available. We ordered a mix of dishes all to come out as our mains, I had a nice spicy king prawn linguine, the wife had a portion of fries and chicken bits, after she started eating the young waiter came over to say her fries had not been done and he would have to take what was left of the ones in front of her, we said no, what he thought he was going to do with half a portion of fries is anyone guess. We enjoyed what we had, it wasn't bad for the money, did it make us want to rush back no.

Popped in for some food today quite late in the day. Haven't been there for ages and decided to try it again. We were met with a bit of an 'attitude' - which was probably understandable on the late busy 'Sunday Roast Day'. I've ordered food at the bar - they didn't have some items available (again - late in the day). My hubby had roast beef, I had steak and our friend just had a starter because he wasn't that hungry. Food arrived - I've asked for medium steak and it was still mooing on the plate, so took it back and asked to cook it for a bit longer. My hubby's roast was completely cremated. I will try to add a picture of the parsnip - which was ready to turn in to ashes any minute... He was starving - so just enhaled it. I waited 18 min to get my steak back - never arrived. Went back to the bar to just cancel it as we wanted to leave. I was really apologetic - I did run a pub some time ago and I understand things happen and sometimes it's out of your control. The actual conversation of me and the person doing a refund:Me: I am very sorry but I can't wait any longer for my food, can I get a refund?Him: No need to apologise, I will cancel it.Him: Can I refund you cash?Me: Yes, sure.Him handing me the money: Thank you very much.No apology in sight!!!! Your steak is almost £22!!! I said how I want it cooked while placing my order and asked for it to be cooked more when I got it! Was you going to cremate it in 18 min??? There was no apalogy from the staff in sight. We all felt absolutely unwelcome to spend our money in this establishment.Definitely will not be coming back and will advice everyone we know to avoid it.

The food was very nice and good value. Portion sizes were nice. The dining area was nicely laid out. Our waitress Aimee was superb, she was very friendly and was prompt with taking our orders.

We ate at the Bumblebee as a rowdy group of 8 people the night before a wedding. Aimee was our waitress and was smiley, friendly, and attentive throughout the whole evening. She was great and had a cheerful smile to keep us up beat during our meal. Thanks Aimee for contributing to the whole weekend In Gloucester!

Very pleasant pub serving some good food. The service was excellent, notably Aimee, who went above and beyond. There is a good menu with choices to cover all tastes. Prices are what you might expect. Being next door to a Holiday Inn Express means that the clientele is transient but well treated by the staff. Sadly, there was no craft ales available on our visit, but other beers were available. Worth a visit if staying at the HIE.

After waiting a lifetime at the bar, the GM was very put out that he had to serve us. The price of the drinks were jaw dropping. He was both rude and unfriendly.Because of this we just fed the hungry children. For the money the food portions were tiny, even for a 2 and 3 year old.The youngster serving us was even worse than the manager. He wanted to be anywhere else but at work. After asking a simple question, it was like I had asked for his kidney. There was no cutlery, no condiments, no table check and no basic hospitality. We will not be returning.

We were having a really lovely evening up until dessert. Where they burnt the brownie and we're very slow on coming to collect that plate and get the bill, so much so I went to the bar to pay. I had downloaded the app and wanted to take advantage of the £20 off bit sadly it didn't register. We paid £75 for 2 people which tbh is pretty expensive. Consider they did take the one dessert off. A shared starter 2 chicken burgers 1 desert and a bottle of wine. Our waitress Ellie was lovely though, really upbeat young lady. Really apologetic about it and told the manager, who went to the wrong table first to apologize.
