This pub has been my late brother's favourite pub. It has a special place in my heart, and that's why we decided to have my 50th birthday celebration party there. It was truly wonderful. They made my special day more special.I apologize for removing my previous review. We were being stalked and harassed by another business called Samantha Trace Cosmetics. I had fish & chips. The fish was a very large fillet, cooked with a lovely crispy batter. The frys were the expected chunky frys that sells everywhere now, so no complaints there either

Been here today after coming last year too for my girlfriends birthday. Such friendly staff and a warm atmosphere. Foods great too and affordable

I didn't meet the famous ghosts, but I saw plenty of skeletons on this visit to the lovely Brewery Shades...This time of year, the large outside seating area on the Broadwalk (normally such a good place to watch the sights and sounds of Crawley!) is closed, but the inside is great as always. Lots of seating areas, but I think I prefer the bar area. The staff are brilliant and friendly. There is a good selection of drinks, with many craft beers on tap (you're welcome to try before you buy). The toilets are clean and have clearly been recently done up.Although on this visit there were several menu-items unavailable, the food is good (as for a self-proclaimed gastro-pub it should be), though I'm not sure my volcanic burger (sublime as it is, topped with chilli con carne and jalapeños) was worth £16. It also took a good while to come, which was odd, seeing that the place wasn't very busy.But I'm clutching at straws: I can't really fault this place, and why should I? It is a great pub in the heart of Crawley!

Really nice pub, family lunch out . Kids meals were perfect . Adults were cold , notified staff who took food back . However the same food (chilli and chips) came back and had been microwaved which made the chips soggy . Chilli was nice tho

Really welcoming place with lovely staff. The roast was really good, served nice and hot and plenty of gravy (normally have to ask for more!). Definitely recommend!

Beautiful old pub with history dating back to the 1400's. The Sunday roasts are amazing, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable.

A superb pub in Crawley great roast dinners lovely staff and great design to the pub food is delicious especially their sandwiches roast dinners and Thier chips are out of this world good delicious best chips I've ever had all in all great pub great food and brilliant service I also highly recommend the sausages and chip from lovely kind hard working staff I think I will book this place for my birthday is it's such a lovely pubAlso the prices are really fair and reasonable for the portions you get and quality of food offered you get a lot for your money in here a huge freshly cooked roast dinner under £15 is a bargain

Warm friendly welcome and service from the hosts at this traditional pub. Excellent knowledge of their beer range. We had 2 very different and very tasty beers. Next time we fly from Gatwick we'll revisit!
