Bridge View Medical - Southville

I very rarely need the GP at all but needed to make a call to their operators today. I was in the queue once for 25 mins (no problem with that) to then get an operator who just hung up on me after 20 seconds. I thought ok, might have been an accident, rang back, was in the queue for 28 minutes again, and the operator (same? rude manner!) hung up on me after asking my date of birth and name. This is absolutely unacceptable.

Avoid everything online can’t even do an emergency appointment over the phone anymore.Have to fill a form in online and got to sit and wait so as a worried parent this is not what anyone needs.

I have a skin problem for almost 1 year, I went to the GP 4 times and still dont get any help. I asked doctor to why they don't do a complete blood test? or is it that expensive? Doctor said im rude.... I told to doctor that my hair was very dandruffy, she l didn't even look at it, and immediately sent me to the pharmacy. I was very dissatisfied, I don't like going for that Gp.

My partner has a chronic health condition and has NEVER been able to get an appointment at this surgery. Trying to contact them is a waste of time, they regularly close their phone lines due to too much demand. If you’re lucky, you’ll have a 3 hour queue before speaking to someone who will tell you there are no appointments anyway, and you should try again in the future. They are clearly massively oversubscribed, yet they continue to accept new patients! It’s an absolute joke. Is A&E really our only option now?!

Poor, usually over an hour telephone queue and unhelpful, uncaring telephone staff offer poor service. Call from a medical practitioner in 3 days was initially the response today despite my having pain requiring painkillers every time I eat atm. Eventually managed to get an appointment in 4 days after requesting a manager but this seems to be the consistent level of help since Southville joined bvm . The doctors are great and I have been with them for 40 years but it is impossible to get to see anyone now or even to speak to someone medical unless you can get past the awful telephone systems. Sadly, I am going to register elsewhere now- things are so bad:(

I have been with Malago (now Bridgeview) surgery for over 20 years. I agree that the booking system can be slow and confusing at times, but I have found the staff to be professional, polite, competent and responsive 95% of the time. I use the E consult as a first contact in most cases and, apart from its restricted hours, generally have no problem getting through. Prescriptions have been consistent and filled in time. Their new system of assigning patients to a single doctor for consistency of care is a good plan.

I have had the worst experience with this surgery! I have had to keep going back for loads of different diagnosis of my problem which I have had to buy medication non of which have succeeded yet. If they just examined me properly they may find the problem. I had to wait 55 minutes to be seen for the doctor to rush me out the door before I finish my sentence. Im always made to feel insignificant with my problems when I come in which makes me feel insecure about going. They forgot to send out my prescriptions. In general I don't feel like I get a positive outcome. I still am struggling with the same issue after treatment and now have another diagnosis to possibly work through. I would not recommend the surgery unfortunately

This is not my first time I v been here. I found very rude lady, she was very rude and lazy . She didn't understand my problem and instead to given me an appointment with my doctor ,she just told me after 4 hour my doctor will call me back... she has blond hair I don't know her name .. she need found another job ... she doesn't know how speaking and be nice with patience.. I didn't receive any call from my doctor

someone else mentioned the words 'criminally negligent' on their review and I have to agree. Every change they introduce seems to achieve the impossible of making a failing system worse. today we were on hold for an hour to then be told no appointments are given over the phone and we had to fill in a form online. The form then says someone will get back to you within the next fourteen days. Bridge view medical should be closed down.

This Doctors' Surgery is spread over 4 sites and has made many changes to improve over the last year. You now contact them via an Internet form, which is triaged before they direct you to a clinician. You can also request repeat prescriptions via the NHS app. The best improvement, imho, is that you now have a dedicated doctor, meaning you don't waste time repeating symptoms to multiple doctors. If you need to see somebody urgently, you will see whoever is available.
