Full damp proof course installed in terraced property. Allerton staff were all very helpful, responsive, professional and work was of a high quality standard. Not the cheapest of quotes but their track record and approach gave me confidence I was making the right decision.

All this company want to do is stick a plaster on the problem.We had damp on one of our walls and had no idea what was causing it, so we got Allerton round to have a look, he wasn't interested in me telling him how and when the patches have appeared, all he wanted to do was rip all the walls on that side of the room apart, stick a membrane on it and plaster over it.He also got his damp meter out and said the other half of the room needed doing aswell, which it didn't.We did agree, however, to have the work done, we paid a deposit and 2 weeks before the work they asked for all the money up front. No way are we taking a risk like that, the company could go bang and we would lose all our money.The golden rule is, you NEVER pay for work before it is completed.We cancelled the work, lost our deposit of over £1K, but have since found a small local company, who have actually investigated what the problem is and the work has been carried out accordingly, at a fraction of the price.

The service in the lead up to the works was very good. The survey was booked in very promptly and the customer service team were always very helpful when I called up with queries. During the works care was taken to protect our wooden and tile flooring and the work area was left clean and tidy. The standard of work was generally good although there were a few areas where more care could have been taken. Some of the new skirting boards that were fitted did not have flush joins and the television aerial socket was broken and not replaced. This being said, generally we had a positive experience and would recommend this company.

From start to finish, Allerton have been super efficient, professional and very easy to work with. Their automated system for the project meant everyone at Allerton were able to get up to date information. The work was carried out whilst I was on holiday, and to receive photos of the immediate “after” showing the work done, and the comment “left so neat and tidy” was a great relief.I would highly recommend this business if you want the project managed professionally from start to finish. Allerton employ everyone involved, so that provides a level of confidence.

Very easy to deal with. All staff turned up on time and kept us informed. Only 4 stars due to the large pre work payment needed. Work itself is all looking good so far.

Me and my partner cannot recommend Allerton enough. From day 1 they were professional and the level of communication from the start of the job to the final day was exceptional. Constant messages asking questions and for reassurance. A great Company for all damp proofing works but also for the additional works aswell, like plastering, boarding, electrics etc.Any exemplary Company to have do any work in your house, I wish all Contractors were like Allerton. The company was more expensive than other damp proofing firms. I chose them because beyond any of the other firms, their initial inspection was way more thorough and responsive to my questions. The work on this 1950s semi-detached home was extensive, covering much of the ground floor.The team worked within the predicted time, prepping everywhere with meticulous floor covering and taped-up screens to limit the ingress of plaster dust to the kitchen.The work progressed as advised and was done efficiently and professionally. The team were courteous, focused and respectful of my home. They revealed rotting and infested skirting board which, at the end and for a cost, they replaced. the final finish of the top plaster is a wonderful sight.I have only praise for the team, for their work (and careful tidying up) and their respect both for my property and myself.I would cheerfully recommend Allerton Damp Proofing to friends or enquirers. No reservations.

I cannot thank Allerton Damp Proofing enough for their services. Not only was my damp proofing course completed in a very professional and timely manner but the staff were really helpful. They (Ian and Garrett) even fixed my radiator and applied some missing skirting board without me even asking.Thoroughly recommend.

The work we had booked was completed by Ryan and Ben within the anticipated timescales . Everything went smoothly and we were kept informed of progress at all times.
