B&Q Chester

We were served by Holly in the kitchen showroom section. Great friendly service, polite nothing was too much bother. A great member of staff

Wow, what a completely different experience!!I had come to simply “tolerate” B&Q as a way to get the paint I needed for projects. Not anymore! Their product range and availability has improved beyond recognition. Chester is now a place that’s enjoyable to shop, and is great for inspiration for your next project. Better still you can find staff and not only are they happy to help you find what you need, they are knowledgeable and can give you suggestions on the best product to use for a particular job.I will be shopping here for all future diy projects I cannot recommend them highly enough! X

I am waiting for a missing item since June 20th from the Chester store.At first, I was told the driver would organise the re-delivery, but nothing happened. I tried customer service, but I just kept repeating your name and order number each time to a different person, in the end they re-sent the delivery for the wrong product...The driver on the second delivery blamed the other drivers, and promised to fix this.Nobody ever contacted me to rectify this! My further emails were ignored, even through Resolver.I only want my £6 back, so I can move on and never order from you again, online or in person. Appalling service, I can't believe you get away with treating customers like this.

A typically vast store with a generally good selection of items. Some, however, have been on the shelves for a long time and are either covered in dust or beginning to rust. The garden centre is moderate, and often decent plants just sit and die due to a lack of water. Staff are OK, but there's always an exception, such as the lady" on the checkout

Quite rubbish. Went for crown paint, they don't sell it. Went for plasterboard patch it wasin the area with fillers so I asked. Being told its in 'building' didn't help me. I searched and couldn't find. So went home and ordered online. The guy in timber was helpful and directed me to the correct isle for putty. Haven't been in years and it will be years before I go again.

Christmas display is small and is looking por compare with the last year.

I can honestly say that my visit to the store was the worse customer service I've ever encountered.Firstly the kitchen guy was unhelpful, uninterested, generally just wanted to chat to his younger girl colleagues.Next I tool my purchases to the till, however a piece of wood didn't have a price tag on it, this completely threw the lady on the til. She asked me if I knew the price, I didn't! And when she kept on saying most customers know what they are buying and I should know the price I explained that most shops sort the price at the til and she should infact be telling me the price!10 minutes passed. A queue built up. She sat thumbing through her hand held computer!I eventually asked her if she'd found it. She found this too much to handle and stormed off the scene shouting another member of staff to continue.She took over as if nothing had happened, only to make a half hearted apology when me and the people behind told her what had happened.Totally bizarre experience.I won't return.

No timber cutting service!....... Well never open! 3 separate visits I have attempted to use the service. on this occasion cost me twice as much to get the timber required due to the service not being open very disappointing. Note: Wickes next door
