Blackley Golf Club

Great course and friendly staff and members. Very picturesque with multiple ponds and wildlife. Every part of this course is kept in tip top condition well done to the green keeping staff . Not too easy not to hard for a average golfer. Well done blackley golf course.

Been through here plenty of times, also found out it's built on top of a landfill. Biffa also extracts to the gas from the landfill and converts it into energy which is why there's a storage tank at the back of the course across from B&A Quilting LTD.

Well presented course, very fair an enjoyable round a pity our scores didn't reflect this.

Really nice function room. Friendly staff. Very reasonably priced drinks. Plenty parking. Good location.

Went to book their room for my sons wedding. Staff were friendly but professional and the room hire was excellent value. Great place for photos of bride and groom by the lake. Would recommend this place to anybody looking for a venue .

My Review of Blackley Golf ClubPlayed to the round cost £25. It’s not rained for 4/5 days but the course clearly does hold rain very well. Had to play off mats today and off winter tees. Because the ground was wet playing off a map wasn’t easy.I think the pricing of the round given the condition and the course is too high. It’s not a £25 a round course in my opinion it’s more like £16-£18 and that is being generous.

We hired the room at the Golf Club for my sons christening & everything was going well until the food was served. They didn't supply 10 of my guests with vegetarian food that I had specifically ordered.I wasn't made aware of this until around an hour after the food had been served when I went round to check on my guests.The best they could do was offer me a refund for the food they had not supplied or the 10 guests could have cheese sandwiches instead of the refund. Cheese sandwiches charged at £9.75 a head seems extremely expensive! No offer of compensation or even a free drink for each of the guests that had not been supplied food. It made the day extremely chaotic.In addition to this, when I booked the room I explicitly explained that the DJ we had booked could only do up to a specific time and asked if I could plug my phone into their PA system to continue the music once he had left. I was told this wouldn’t be a problem. When the DJ left and I went to plug my phone in, it wasn’t working and I was then told sorry the PA system broke on Tuesday"

We visited the restaurant for sunday lunch and while generous portions most lacked any flavour.Gluten free options poor and we had some concern re some staff not understanding cross contamination when serving food.Allergies should be a concern for any restaurant and training for allergies very important.

Great meal. Good bar prices

Went to a wake here & the hot food, staff were very good (for catering, looked to be freshly made, not the same standards as a top class restaurant, however very good for parties). Tables adequately spaced out for covid. This was on the upper floor with balcony overlooking views to the golf course. It has disabled access & a lift to the 1st floor. Toilets also on that level with its own bar area.
