Lovely place for breakfast. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I had a full English breakfast, despite it not being on the menu; the cafe can get busy at times, so full breakfast is only available when the owner has time. The place was quiet when I visited and the food was great. I sat in the seat that Jenny Agutter had sat in when she visited! There is a sign and a framed, signed photo marking the spot. Books available in the little library section. What a nice old-fashioned, typically English cafe. Many thanks for making me so welcome.

The most kind and helpful staff you'll meet. Good selection of drinks and snacks, too! I was having car trouble and the lady behind the counter was so sweet and we had a good chat which made me feel much better!

Important update July 2021, cafe now accepts electronic/contactless payment!Very friendly cafe owner who is helpful, kind and considerate.Great bacon or sausage sandwich. Good selection of teas and instant coffee. (Many types of instant coffee available)

I had a tea last week and ran out without paying when I thought I was missing the train. The lady in the cafe was wonderful and we were having a lovely chat. I feel awful!! Is there any way I can pay you? Thanks

Absolutely fabulous place, visited 3 years ago when I was looking for somewhere to live, went for breakfast and was made very welcome, and still visiting most days in the week, as I found a home up the road.Delicious food is prepared and nothing is too much trouble, she is very kind and caring, and lots of people visit and return. I would recommend a visit for the fabulous food, service and a very friendly welcome.

Lovely little buffet, excellent bacon sandwiches, hospitality, value for money.A charming station altogether.My top tip:Stop off here on your way, up country, or down, to mooch around Redruth and enjoy a very special station buffet!
