St Anne's RC Church

A beautiful church, attended there for a first holy communion. A lovely service delivered by the priest.

Would not recommend, the priest is very rude. Impossible to communicate with him and he just hangs up the phone. Very poor manners and people skills, treats the place like an institution not like the house of God it supposed be.

Funeral service for my mother 11/2 Church was lovely, however a lot to be desired in the service provided, none of us could understand the priest at all, no introduction, completely unacknowledged dad, almost set fire to the church carpet with the incense globe used to bless the coffin, he went to refill it and embers fell out onto the carpet, no explanation what to expect in the service provided, no hymns allowed etc... also the poor funeral assistant hurt herself due to the incompetence of people who opened up the church for funeral service, the stopper plate for the gates, there were no visible warning cone etc or at least one gate closed to prevent someone tripping over it as there was snow on the ground, unfortunately for her, but if it was one of the bearers, God forbid.My mother wanted her service with holy family in grindon as both her parents and her brother had theirs done there, but it was closed, no services available....So unless St Anne's buck their ideas up i would NOT recommend. Very disappointed with it all at a very sensitive time.
