I brought a rather complex mechanical watch to Mr Launcher as it had a not so obvious problem with its chronograph. He's fixed it without overcomplicating the issue for a fraction of the price I've been quoted elsewhere (and I got many quotes).His transparency and honesty are above any standard. An exemplary professional who deserves praise and recognition.I read a couple of angry reviews accusing others of being fake. Possibly competitors or delusional customers.Please use Mr Launcher's service without hesitation.

Had an absolutely fantastic service at R. Laucher. Went in requiring a new battery for my Tag Heuer. He swapped it out there and then in five minutes and only charged me £5. A fiver! I was amazed. For context I have used those shopping centre watch repair places before and they often charge northwards of £30 for a battery replacement and ask me to come back in a few hours. Will never be making that mistake again and will use R. Laucher every time.

Superb service from John - changed my watch battery within 2 minutes right in front of me and all for £5. He even tested my old battery to ensure it was low. Other places were quoting me £70+ and some even said they’d need to send it off! Do ensure you take cash. Thanks again!

Highly recommended! I’m very happy with the efficient and super reasonable service. He changed a couple of watch batteries for me there and then and at only a fraction of the price charged elsewhere. He really seemed to know his stuff and had interesting devices to check the battery readings. Entering the shop was like stepping back in time. There are so many interesting old clocks everywhere. Make sure and bring cash for payment.

Had a replacement battery fitted for my watch this morning -very quick service -cost only £5- I was informing Mr Lauchar that at timpson shop in Sainsbury's Cromwell road I was just quoted £20 for a replacement battery -thats taking the P-----

This shop is an amazing experience in itself, it’s as if I step back in time every time I walk through the door. The shop is an Aladdins cave full of beautiful old clocks, photos, handmade dress jewellery and clock makers tools and equipment. I love the many layers this shop has and although small in size, I could literally spend all day just looking about in there. The old antique display cabinets are full of conversation pieces and I can feel the rich history of the shop soak into my bones. Mr Laucher is like Father Time, he is a kind gentle man who is the master of his trade. His knowledge and expertise in his area in second to none. He is the best at what he does because he does things the old fashioned way. Whereby, he will take your item, give you a beautiful hand written receipt and then lovingly restore your item back to working order. He takes his time because he works alone and likes to make sure everything is done properly. He is the last true shop keeper and although he is too modest to realise it. He could honestly charge people an entry fee if he wanted to, as so many people would just love to experience being in that unbelievable place. But he doesn’t charge an entry fee because he is just so nice and a true gentleman.

Received excellent and prompt service from R. Laucher. Taking some links out of my vintage watch took 5 minutes and only cost me £3. Far cheaper and faster than quoted elsewhere. Many thanks!

Received exceptional service from Mr Laucher today.Went in with two very old watches and a newer one, all of which required fresh batteries and some adjustment on straps. The service was extremely efficient and friendly, Mr Laucher is clearly a true artisan and knows his stuff!Very reasonable pricing, and would happily recommend to anyone. Almost wish I had more watches to take in!
