In 2015 I was sold, or I should say mis-sold a solar panel system for a business address, the company had the backing of Barclays partner finance. I was promised massive reductions in electricity bills and substantial tax-free FIT payments direct into my private account. The 20-year financial projections made this a no brainer, and with backing from Barclays what could go wrong.Well, everything went wrong, my electricity bills were unchanged, and the FIT payments were a small fraction of what was promised. The company that fitted them disappeared and I was left with a 5-year battle with Barclays. After a small compensation was paid to me, which was a fraction of the cost of the panels, Barclays washed their hands of me, and I was left with a pile of junk on my roof making no money and it was going to be expensive to dispose of them.Steve Allen from FDG Group came on the scene. He explained that basically the panels had been placed incorrectly, a lot of them were in the shade, and the installation had been poorly done. He explained he could move the panels to a different roof top and correct the instillation. I was very sceptical and did not really want to spend more money on solar panels.Steve gave me a very good price, I put my trust in him, and he made it happen. The panels were re-sited, and the installation looked very tidy when the job was done. Excellent service well carried out, if I could give 6 stars I would, and this is why.When the panels we first fitted in 2015 my electricity bill was unchanged. Before the panels were relocated the monthly direct debit for electricity was £250 per month. The bill for the premises now is £85 per month. This is offering a saving of just under £2000 a year. After FDG Group “fixed” my system my September FIT payment has just been paid to me and it was £508.53. For the same period, the average September payments for previous years have been £284,35. My FIT payments have almost doubled.Thank you, Steve, and FDG Group I wish you were on the scene in 2015.

We have used FDG Group to install our solar panels, solar inverter, air source heat pump, new cylinder, bigger radiators, and finally battery storage for our 40’s 3 beds semi detached. We have found them excellent from start to end. We have what we need for our property after consultation and quotes etc. they did on site survey and paperwork to explain the work we need for our property. They did the heat pump all in 5 days from removing old gas boiler, changed all old radiators to bigger, put in cylinder in the loft with all the pipe works, they are very efficient and clean, when the work done, it’s like we haven’t had them at all, there was no paintwork for me to repair, no new carpet, it is amazing. The heat pump work really well. We found having heat pump with solar panels and battery work together rather well. This keep our electricity bill down to almost 20p per day during the spring/summer/ early autumn. We would recommend them. Thank you for your hard work and make this happened.

Had solar panels and an air source heat pump installed by FDG 18 months ago and have been very pleased with both the company installation and the products installed. Great response from Nick and Steve last week for servicing and issues with loss of app contact with the solar panels, rectified in one visit, very pleased. Thank you.

Just had an inverter upgrade on our solar battery system originally installed by FDG. All sorted within two days by Steve. Brilliant service!

Offices were shabby and broke virtually every health and safety law. Company owner unable to manage his staff so there is a noticeable air of resentment in the office. Very unpleasant atmosphere caused by the husband and wife owners who tried to defraud the recruitment agency by advertising for one job then sneakily holding the interview for a completely different role which would have commanded a far higher salary! Unethical to say the very least. Idiotic tactics from sad, desperate individuals.

Thanks to Steve and everyone at FDG Group for the installation of my solar, inverter and battery system. The work they did was professional and fuss free, and I am looking forward to significantly reduced electricity bills as a result. Pictures show a nice, tidy bit of cabling. I recommend FDG Group Nottingham for Solar installations and will definitely use them for future upgrades.

We had a problem with our heat pump not working after losing pressure in the system. Contacted FDG for help and discovering the controls to reset this were in the loft (I'm a pensioner and not about to risk going up there) they were able to come round and sort it out very easily and quickly. Great service.

Had them out today for a service on my air source heat pump that they installed a year ago. Called them up to book it in and managed to get me in quite quickly, chap on the phone was very friendly and helpful.The two lads that came in were very good got straight to work were very polite, did all the Checks and made sure all was working.. really happy with all the work they’ve done for me thank you.

Had 16 solar panels installed by FDG a year ago and everything fine, but decided to get batteries installed too. Stephen was quick to respond and arrange fitting. The inverter was replaced by a more powerful one to accommodate the 4 batteries totalling 10kw. Been running a few days now and we're highly delighted with the system, the app to monitor everything is great. Great service, keep up the great work. Can highly recommend this company. I was was very pleased with the solar panel installation they did for me in 2019 so I got a quote from them to upgrade the batteries to a Solax 6.2 system. They completed the installation yesterday and it was done expertly and efficiently
