Superb place to stay with a touring caravan, if you wish you can purchase a static caravan and enjoy a more comfortable, home from home environment.You don’t have to buy a new caravan, as clean, well looked after caravans become available due to upgrading.Children can play on a well equipped designated play area.The site is safe at the rear of a working farm, half a mile from the nearest road.Hetherick Caravan Park is a great place for you to stay. You can visit Barnard Castle, Raby Castle, High and low force. Middleton in Teesdale, just to mention a few. Come and enjoy. We did.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Nice site. Shower/toilet facilities a little run down. 20p needed for showers for 5 mins but showers are hot and powerful.Slightly frustrated after we pitched our tent and went out for a walk that we were hemmed in on three sides by other tents and camper vans. Small play area for the kids and some nice walks close by.Overall, nice site.

Really nice site in the Durham dales. A good half mile from any public road which makes it very quiet and relaxing. Nice dog walking area. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Quiet, clean and friendly. Ideal base for exploring, hiking, walking and cycling. Young families will appreciate the play ground and field, not to mention the farm animals.

Our first time at this site and we loved it. All staff were pleasant and really helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. Site and facilities are all clean and well kept with some walks close to the site. Our 7 year old grandson loved it and we will definitely be back. Nice quite site without a bar so no rowdy behaviour.

Nice peaceful site friendly people we like staying here , good fishing at nearby grassholme reservoir
