Great place for a beer (really liked the ‘Slumbering Monk’) and to enjoy the history on the walls. Nice fish and chips. Excellent friendly service.

Not sure if this pub is under new management but the food has gone downhill, had lunch here today and the burger was cremated there were about 6 chips and a teaspoon of horrible coleslaw for £16 . Would have sent it back but we were hungry and couldn’t be bothered waiting for new ones to come out as service was a little slow. We have eaten here several times since we moved to the area and it has always been good , but sadly today it was awful and left with a burnt taste in our mouths. It is a shame as it’s a lovely old pub . .

A brilliant pub down a side street. Well worth dropping in. Great beer.great staff. Wood work fixtures in side by mouse man. Spot the carved mouse.

Had a lovely lunch here at the weekend. Good atmosphere, friendly staff and very dog friendly. Good selection of beers too.

My family stumbled upon the Rose & Crown when walking around Ludlow trying to find somewhere to eat on a Saturday evening after arriving in the area earlier that day. We found a table without any problems and ordered at the bar. The pub has a lot of character and is very atmospheric, which is not surprising given how old it is. We ordered the burgers and sausage & mash which were all very tasty. I also had a pint of Guinness which was one of the best pints I’ve had outside of Dublin. ☘️

Spent £10 on a ham and piccalilli sandwich: cheap supermarket ham and granary bread and salad which had parts which had gone off.It's a nice pub but they need to either reduce their prices to reflect the quality of what they are serving, or look at the quality of what they serve for what they're charging, especially as on their doorstep there are a lot of established places serving better quality food for less.

We were lucky enough to have lovely weather fornour stay in Ludlow so sat in the spacious beer garden. We also stayed for food which was delicious!! The best fish and chips we've had in a long time!

Beautiful old pub that has been opened up and made to feel far more spacious than it did back in the day. They've done a decent job of keeping that old vibe charm though, and couple that with decent food, great beer and wonderful staff, this pub is well worth a visit.
