Deep Blue Fish & Chips
Food was cooked in a dirty fryer, burnt particles of food from old oil was all over the chips, I was told you can brush it off with your fingers but added that she didn’t want to touch my food so couldn’t do it herself.. to apologise I was given extra (dirty) chips.. the Cod burger was so thin and was more batter than fish, was over cooked. Kids chicken bites were also over cooked and dry. Disappointing food in a beautiful setting, would suit a proper fish restaurant.

Deep Blue Fish & Chips
Atmosphere was amazing, tables clean. We waited a while to be served but the waitress was accomodating and very polite. We both ordered fish which looked fantastic and tasted great, I did start to scrape off the batter towards the end as I felt it was a little too greasy, however the actual fish was fresh and delicious. All in all I would give it an 8/10 and could come back again.

We were a party of 4, we ordered as 2 pairs. So orders went in separately, first to meals come out very quickly, second 2 not so much. I went and asked how long the second order would take as we would like to eat together. It eventually came out 15-20 minutes later. The fish was nice but the chips were not good, they had been sat under the warming light for too long and were extremely hard. We let the management know and we were refunded half the amount. This being said, lunch was ruined. This was not a cheap meal. Not sure why chips have to sit out like that. It was fish and chips at the seaside, it’s not gourmet!

Very classy clean looking restaurant with very friendly efficient staff.Food was delicious.You can either order at the bar or the modern way of using the QR code on your table.Chips are always cooked to perfection with a firm crispy exterior.

Absolutely fantastic can't fault this place in anyway, very large portions. We always ordered from the other branches but never knew about the restaurant on the Pier. Great interior, great food and a stunning view of the coast line. Excellent service too, highly recommend but would have to go for the kids size next time as it was way too much food for me on this occasion.

The food and service was amazing.We had the senior cod and chips, with peas and curry sauce.The portions were massive, and everything was cooked to perfection.Plus you get a wonderful view of the sea wherever you sit

On the pier, so nice views of the sea. Friendly atmosphere, nice decor, staff were fine. We sat in a booth and although the seats were comfy, the fabric was worn and tatty. Table was clean and laid nicely, but there was a missed dirty glass in place. We were told there would be a 40-minute wait on arrival, which was fine for us, but food took over an hour to arrive. They were busy, but not rammed, and there seemed plenty of staff floating about. We ordered haddock with chips and a Caesar salad. When it finally arrived, the chips were cold, and the salad was limp. We complained, and they brought back hot food within a few minutes. The chips were actually really nice, but they served cod instead of haddock. The Caesar salad had a good flavour but was so soggy as if it'd be dressed for a long time. The croutons were oily. The chicken goujons, which were an extra, were bland and dry. It's very disappointing as it's expensive fish and chips. We may just buy chips from their takeaway option round the corner on the pier, but we will not be eating here again.
