Delicious homemade food. Great value for money and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I ordered a late and 1/2 sandwich (coronation chicken) and soup, which came with homemade coleslaw 2 slices of thick bread crisps and side salad.

I’m originally from Barrow and was up visiting my family. I haven’t been to the Fig Tree since I was a kid but much prefer going to local owned places. The Fig Tree didn’t let me down. Very smiley team, incredibly clean and very quick service. Eat local you won’t regret it!

The Fig Tree restaurant is small but the food and service are excellent. It's clean and inviting. At lunch time it is not unusual to have to wait for a table as it is such a popular place to eat.

Nice little cafe. Very small inside but must be popular as people were queuing to get in but that did make me feel a bit rushed. The food was nice- I had a toasted teacake with salted butter which was yummy, and my husband had a scone with jam and fresh cream which he's still talking about a week later! Some of the menu is really reasonable and some is a bit on the pricey side for what it is in my opinion.

This is such a lovely high class cafe/tearooms! Excellent service every visit, excellent high quality food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. Definately worth a visit! Lots of specials that change regularly. Never fails to make a lovely lunch time stop. 5*

Been going to Fig Tree for over 30 years now. Best Toasted T Cakes in Town. Excellent friendly and efficient staff. Well recommended.
