Frank's The Flooring Store

Went into this store recently.I wasn't greeted when when I arrived, even though there was 2 members of staff playing on their phones behind the desk and I was the only customer in the store.When I left I was asked if I found what I was looking for-too late to ask me.Very lazy staff that need retraining.I bought elsewhere.

This was an excellent and flexible purchasing experience. Knowledgeable and friendly staff helped us make the correct selection for our needs. The selection available is very large with most budgets accounted for. There could be little clearer signage about what type of carpet is where, but the staff certainly know where it is. If you are not looking for carpet there is a broad selection of vinyl and laminate available also. When it came to choosing the edging of the carpet, this selection was a little more narrow but that is a very small criticism

Great service, very happy with carpet and fitting. They will even pull up your old carpet and remove it. The guy who removed ours went above and beyond helping us. Top service all round

We could of gone to a flooring company online Which would of been a little cheaper ( apparently there promise of beating any quote doesn't apply to online company)choose to stick to a local shop, were paying in affordable installments and were really helpful even when we at to change the fitting date by 1 month, really recommend but check the terms on there promise as I felt a bit embarrassed when they said online shops didn't count towards there promise

Nice selection, member of staff was really helpful in finding a colour match for a couple of stairs needing replacement only. Great price for carpet too.

New carpet that is incorrectly fitted( well not fitted actually) just comes up when you walk on it, absolutely shocking customer service trying to fob us off, will be logging with trading standards, consumer rights service. I would not use this company. Waiting for a manager to contact us as fitters and shop were a waste of time in the South Shields store , reported the carpet was fitted incorrectly, waited a week for then to come out and say it’s not fitted right and is too short to put right??? Well that’s your fault so put it right asap

I went to the store before Christmas to look for a lounge carpet, the guy I spoke to was quite helpful and gave me an estimate for the carpet I wanted. Unfortunately I didn't get to go back until last week as I had been unwell. It was like being in a different shop, they were very unhelpful to the point of being rude and seemed totally disinterested in what I was asking. I left and decided to take my business elsewhere. I went to Prince Edward Road carpet centre and was I am so glad I did. Extremely helpful and friendly, came and measured today and can come and lay the carpet any time I want. So sorry Frank's Flooring you can be beat on price and customer serviceand I certainly won't recommend you. Some staff training needs maybe!!

Went to there Jarrow branch when I needed my living room and stairs done a few years ago; it was a job well done so wasn't surprised to find the South Shieds shop just as pleasant and helpful. Got sorted with what I wanted, just need a date for the carpet fitting now, which should be a little over a weeks time.

Purchased bedroom carpet and was informed that fitter would telephone on morning of fitting to give me a time. Fitter did not ring, I rang the shop and was given the fitters number to ring. Left message with fitter,did not respond.Fitter turned up and was quite uncommunicative. Job was completed without him informing me that he had removed the bedroom door and had not replaced it. I was told I would have to get someone to cut a piece off the door and replace it. There had previously been a carpet with underlay and the door had closed perfectly well, which I told the fitter, but he was very unresponsive.After fitter had gone, I found carpet and underlay had been left in the garden, on the landing and in our bathroom.Very dissatisfied customer.
