Taylormade Gates & Railings

We have just completed a new build property in Chertsey where Taylormade Gates and Railings Ltd. installed a pair of composite gates.This is the first time we have worked with this company and feel it is the beginning of a long term business relationship.Communication has been exceptional, which is so important for us and our clients. And the product is superb.As a company Ascot Build and Design will be using Taylormade for all our future projects and, following this experience, I look forward to them installing the gates on my own house in the near future.Steve.

Jamie and team installed our automated electric gates this summer and we love them. They were a pleasure to work with - extremely patient - this was a first time gate project for us. We are getting another set from Jamie next month. Lovely to work with and a real family business.

We highly recommend this company. They were extremely professional throughout the whole process. The gate is perfect, exactly what we wanted. The communication was excellent. The installation team were brilliant. After a few weeks we had a problem with a handle and somebody arrived literally within 2 hours of my email and fixed it. Very pleased with the whole service.

We would highly recommend this company after they electrified our 14-ft existing iron gates. Jamie and Lennon went to great lengths to make sure we were completely happy with the result and they did a superb job.

Appalling service. gates delivered wrong colour. Reluctantly removed and then delivered in correct colour Gates then fitted to reinforced concrete cored brick piers with structurally inadequate brackets. As a result one fell off onto a visitor after only 2 weeks in use. Jamie refused to rectify and used expletives when so doing. Another company has since rectified the inadequate brackets and the gates are now safely installed.

The service and care offered by Jamie was amazing. Jamie made the complete process easy, explaining exactly what was needed to supply me with perfect electric gates. Jamie's staff are also knowledgeable, courteous and professional especially Lennon who recently serviced my gates.I have no hesitation in recommending Taylor Gates, absolutely first class service! I cannot recommend this company highly enough. They really listened to me and helped me install new railings and electric gates for a renovation project. Gates look beautiful and feel very secure. When I needed a security solution on short notice for another entrance Jamie even provided the gates from his own workshop so I did not have to wait for a bespoke gate. And took time to help me install the apps etc to work the gates.

I ordered a gate for the passageway next to my house. I am very pleased with the end result, which is attractive and sturdy. The fitting service is excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a custom made gate.

Quick to respond to an initial enquiry, with a good grasp of the brief for railings and electric gates, Taylormade have been easy to communicate with and have delivered an excellent quality product on time and to budget. Their advice to change a few design details has improved the final product and I am very happy to recommend this company for manufacturing and installing tailormade gates and railings.

**Edited following company’s response: Essentially, the company is setting the record that they will happily hold 50% of your money until one of them decides you’re being impolite - even after providing poor service. We wouldn’t say that holding onto our money for nearly two months and cancelling our job last minute equates to “kindness”… Equally, after weeks of communicating you still aren’t able to get my last name right, which is a perfect example of your lack of customer service. My name is Nina Jaksic - not Mrs Gibbs**Astoundingly terrible customer service. There are plenty of other good gates companies in the area and this one just isn’t worth the trouble. We wish we had chosen one of the many others, and you still have time to.We put a deposit down for having our gates automated nearly two months before we received an email to say that our gate installation was going to be delayed due to weather. That happens and is out of people’s control. However, for a fair few thousands to automate existing gates and this being a two-day job, we thought there would be some effort to provide a solution or even a phone call to discuss the situation. Instead, I was given a flat “no” and told to hurry up with making a decision about my new date so it doesn’t get taken by another customer. As if this is an Amazon delivery rather than a £thousand++ transaction.The impact of moving this job was going to cost us with other delays to our project, which is understandably upsetting. It was bizarre there was absolutely no flexibility for what we were told was going to be a two-day job.Because we articulated that we were unhappy, the firm’s secretary cancelled our job four days before it was meant to start.While I’m now relieved we don’t have to deal with this company ever again, I’m still frustrated with myself for choosing them in the first place and losing precious time.
