Loddon w Hales & Heckingham: Holy Trinity & St John's - A Church Near You | Welcome to The Church in Loddon. We are a local ecumencial partnership between the Church of England and the Methodist Church meeting in St John, Loddon and Holy Trinity, Loddon. Until recently, we have been posting a new Sunday service every week on our Chet Valley Churches YouTube channel. We started in March 2020 and continued until Easter Day 2023. They are all still available to watch or to use as an aid to worship. We have also made congregation-friendly videos of nearly 550 hymns and songs, all of which are also on our channel. These have been viewed and used in over 150 countries across the world. There will be a service of Morning Worship for the Third Sunday of Easter at 10:45 in St John, Loddon on Sunday 23rd April 2023. This will be followed by the Annual Church Meeting at 12:00 noon. The church will be open for private prayer during daylight hours.

Nice church well kept and maintained. Lots of history, interesting graves some labeled with information about the the people buried there. Holds other events to. Worth a visit.

My Church, a place that offers more then religion, a very friendly place, it holds many different types of things, books sales, art shows, teddies raising money for the church.If you are thinking of coming.to the Broads for a holiday give my lovely old church a look. We are a very nice village ( or Town) to us locals we are a village.

We will never know what awaits us tomorrow, we don't know how we will feel tomorrow, and we never know what awaits us behind that door..Holy Trinity, LoddonThe Church was built around 1490 by Sir James Hobart, of Hales Hall, who held the position of Attorney General to Henry VII.It is largely Perpendicular in style and contains a number of notable features including: a hammerbeam roof, a Jacobean pulpit, early Edwardian pews complete with carved poppy head ends and a painted rood screen depicting “William of Norwich.” Only three windows contain stained glass of these, the east window with its vast array of shields is the most notable.

Holy Trinity church, in Loddon at the end of the navigable river Chet is originally a 15th century flint-faced Perpendicular structure, with later additions. On the site of an ancient religious building dating to AD 36 for St Felix, bishop of East Anglia.
