Cleveland Way Car Park
Good car park for visiting Helmsley town centre, the castle, walled gardens or to walk to Rievaux. Has some disabled bays and electric charging points. Pay and display 7 days a week, but accepts coins, cards and apple pay. Split into cars and campers. Good toilet block as well.

Cleveland Way Car Park
A good location close to town and a pleasant walk to Rievaulx. Clean tidy toilets. Unfortunately the overnight parking has been stopped. It was handy for campervans but no longer, such a shame that facilities like this are removed. There are different areas for cars, buses and vans. Park incorrectly and you may be fined even though you've bought a ticket.

Handy pay and display car park to walk around Helmsley with its castle,walled garden and great shops. A beautiful place to visit

Great car if you are walking the cleveland way and want to leave your car there. I got a 7 day car parking pass £23.50 which I purchased at helmsley Castle shop visitor centre. And they also do a 10 day pass. Just to be aware that the Visitor centre doesn't opens till 10am

Great access to town centre and walled garden. Gets busy but good overflow area. Clean free to use toilets. Only downside is ticket machine card payments not working, loads of people scrabbling about for change!

Good access to everything and not too expensive. The ticket machine closest to the Castle takes cash only. The other one closest to the toilets takes card.

Payment machine hard to read. Also, it only does contactless. Only an emergency number listed. You need to work it out, or you will be fined.

Quite narrow spaces. EV AC charging requires yet another app that also requires a minimum top-up. EV bump bars across the bays are too far forward, meaning the car is nosed out into the lane. Overflow payment meter only accepting cash.

Often very busy as main car park for Helmsley, part of yhe Cleveland Way and the Walled Garden. Reasonable charges but do bring cash as contactless does not always work.
