Completed an application for a property and advised we needed to complete a credit check to view.Was dealing with Andrew.We are a professional couple with a very good income so a credit check isn’t an issue.What I’m not impressed with is being asked to complete this prior to a viewing for a rental property prior and establishing if the property is right for us.Update**Emailed 19/5/23 to say that we weren’t successful.How can our application be unsuccessful due to high interest yetPartner called as a new potential tenant and advised property still available and also being marketed on social mediaSo not just unprofessional but also liars.We asked why the wouldn’t let us view but no response.

Entered into a private tenancy with G M Thomson as the agents. Everything was fine for 2 years, no issues on either side. The estate agent who was responsible for our property left G M Thomson and was replaced by Judith Marchbanks.Before accepting the property we had viewed another with Judith at moodie and walker estate agents. On the day when we were supposed to pay the deposit and receive the keys we turned up at the office as arranged. Judith then informed me that i had previous complaints against me. This is untrue. I have never had complaints in regards to any property Ive had. I asked her what checks and where this information was. She refused to answer. I can only assume that she had friends or family interested in the property or someone had offered more money.When our original agent from G M Thomson left, Judith turned up at my door. She asked if i remembered her from our previous ineraction and immediately demanded to inspect the property before giving me a week to vacate. The property was in fine order if not perfect and we had never had an issue with inspections under the old agent.Confronted with this I emailed the office at G M Thomson where i received a rude reply from Judiths boss, full of accusations. He obviously wasnt happy that I was standing up for myself.Horrible company with horrible partners and staff. Id been a tenant for 2+ years, rent always paid on time and inspections passed with flying colours. Judith joins the company and turns them against me in a week. Your lucky i wasnt in a position to contract a solicitor.
