Elms Farm Butchers Shop - Ruddington

Lovely tasty meat - chicken kebabs, burgers and sausages for a family bbq. Having a bbq this weekend for family and friends and buying all my meat from Elms Farm, Ruddington

This is a quite exceptional shop. The meat is of outstanding quality, largely rare breeds sourced from the owner's farm. The staff are charming, helpful, and always have excellent advice. You can get your organic milk there (with refillable bottles), and the produce is all exceptional. Whether it is giant free range chicken breasts, fantastic beef fillet, or wonderful lamb (their own or from nearby Plumtree) it is all of the highest quality. The sausages are outstanding, as are the burgers, the steak haché, the pre-prepared kebabs, and a variety of other easy options (the stuffed chicken breasts when available are a complete joy, as are some of the stir fries). The local cheeses – including fantastic stilton – are first rate. You also know that you are buying from responsible farmers who care about the environment and about the food they produce. There is no factory farming here, but people who appreciate their livestock and farming heritage. Absolutely outstanding.

An excellent butchers very friendly.If you have not already tried the original Baker pies I strongly recommend them. They are without doubt worth every penny of the price. Once tried you will never go back to cheap eyes again. The chicken bacon and mushroom version tastes better than any pork pie cold. Just make sure you leave some for me.

Great butchers, not afraid to try something different either. Very friendly and always willing to offer advice. Our go to for all our meat needs, vastly superior quality to the supermarkets in every department.

I am delighted with the quality of the meat at this shop, and with the friendly service. I also appreciate the way it is packed and has a use-by date. All in all, a most satisfying shopping experience.

We recently moved to Ruddington and previously had an amasing butcher in our old town, we saw Elm Farm and gave it a try, Paul is great, the meat is top class another good reason to move to Ruddington!

Best butcher and produce we’ve found, Paul is a treasure. Even with short notice made us a BBQ spread fit for royalty. Everyone was amazed at the food that day. Can’t recommend enough, full of advise and did I mention the quality of the meat, the best.
