Wee Buns Cookery School

I spent a lovely morning at the traditional Irish baking class at Wee Buns. The house is situated in a beautiful setting, with a purpose built kitchen to the rear, fully equipped for a morning of delicious baking. Mary Anne is a very relaxed and encouraging teacher who made everyone feel welcome and supported. I came home with a delicious fruit soda, scones and homemade potato bread. Mary Anne also demonstrated some other recipes and allowed us all to sample. I throughly enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to any other budding bakers!

I would highly recommend Wee Buns! Mary Anne is an excellent teacher, very engaging, and has a clear passion for food. The small class size is ideal, it allows you to go through everything in detail with plenty of time for questions. You get tips you just do not get in a recipe book. Really enjoyed my morning and hope to be back soon. Thank you.

My baking experience was both positive and my skills improved from one class. My scones were light, tender, delicious and soft even after seven hours. The light lunch provided were full of flavour and fresh from the garden and orchard. Soo happy I did the Wee. Buns baking course:)

Top class experience - Mary Anne was such a good teacher by the end of it I was making better scones that her :) jokes aside it was a great experience and fun to do - and you get filled full of delicious treats and tea - great day out.

My husband and I took the Traditional Irish Baking class with Mary Anne. It was amazing! She is such a wonderful teacher and helped us every step of the way. It was really nice to have a small class size as well. We are both 100% novice bakers and our soda breads, scones and soda farls could've come from a top notch bakery. Also getting to eat in class along the way was the icing on the cake. Will definitely take more classes with Wee Buns!

I’ve waited a week to review as wanted to bake the breads myself - and yes, they were a success. Very much worth attending the class. You learn the process to make successful, eatable and tasty bread.

Spent a fabulous morning with Mary Anne. Great hospitality. Tea/coffee and sticky ginger bread to start. Mary Anne was so knowledgeable, and we picked up great tips and techniques on bread and scone making.We were also able to bring home the bread and scones we had made and enjoy those that Mary Anne had demonstrated.I would throughly recommend Wee Buns cookery classes to anyone who wants to have a relaxed, fun and informative morning and wait for the compliments among family and friends on your newly aquired baking skills!
