Delicious! We had the pain au raisin, almond croissant and biscoff bubka- all so yummy and fresh. Coffee is lovely, some nice benches outside whilst awaiting indoor seating soon. Recommended !

There are never enough independent coffee shops in Bristol, although it seems like decor, and the menu became slightly repetitive. Cafe is also dog friendly and has a pleasant vibe. I only give 3 starts because I ordered short black - espresso with a bit of water. When I heard long black" being served

Sausage roll pastry was really sweet and way too buttery like a croissant or something. Biscoff-flavoured pastry had gone all claggy and gluey (bare in mind this wasn't late in the day, about 1pm which is prime lunch time). Did not taste much of biscoff. However the lemon meringue pie was good

Lovely bread. Really good sourdough flavour and nice and chewy without being tough or hard. The interior (of the cafe) is nice as well.Sadly the pastries all contain dairy so I wasn't able to try them, but they look good too.

I really wanted to give more as I love the pastries. However, the service is normally not amazing and sometimes a bit rude. Put my partner off. We are all customers so service with a smile is always appreciated. Also please bake more almond croissants, you never have any and most people I know who go here, go here for them. I’ve arrived 90 minutes after they opened at least 3 times now and they are all gone. Please bake more as we will buy them all :)

Coffee is fantastic, some of the best in Clifton. We also previously tried the scotch egg, which is the best I have ever had, something I wouldn't normally get, but it was well worth it.Today we ordered a Sausage Roll, an Almond Croissant, a regular Croissant, and a Strawberry + Custard Danish. The taste of everything was spot on, some of the best-tasting pastries I've had in Bristol. The only thing that let it down was the texture of the pastry. The taste was great, but it didn't have that fresh flaky feel. I'm not a baker, so I don't know why this would occur, but I have worked with businesses in the past to improve the quality of goods when being transported, and this type of issue was often caused by that. Unfortunately, fresh food is extremely hard to transport and keep as fresh as it was out of the oven, especially when it's warm and sweats, making any bread or pastry moist if transported or packaged while still warm.I think the cafe's transportation of items from a main kitchen has reduced the texture and made each pastry item less flaky and more chewy. Chewiness isn't necessarily a bad thing for croissants, but it went a little too far in one direction, especially with the Almond Croissant and Strawberry and Custard Danish.I wasn't sure if the pastries were made the same day, so I did pop back in to ask when they were made. They said 2 am, which is fantastic, and it's great to have a bakery that puts in so much effort, even on weekends—something Clifton really needed.I truly believe transporting from the bakery has impacted the quality of the pastry, which is so unfortunate because, overall, the baked goods and coffee taste fantastic.I hope this is a one-off, and I'll be sure to come back, as it's great to see a new bakery in Clifton Village, something we've really needed. I also wanted to note that when I came in to ask about when the goods were baked, the chef was there and didn't take the question well. The pastry could be improved, so it was a little disappointing to feel like I couldn't come in and give some honest feedback.
