Beautiful view and we actually saw and heard fur seals! they lay on a small island and basked in the sun :) But I advise you to take binoculars with you, we did just that ;) so we were able to see them))

We've stopped here a few times , but this was out 1st to actually see any seals and boy it was a treat, this carpark has fab views out over the bay and perfect inlet for seals , there Mustve been about 12 on the rocks and swimming . You can park up and view out over the water , direct uninteruptted views .

My wife and I often visit this viewpoint. This visit was on the evening of a glorious sunny day. The tide was rising, and the seals were resting on the rocks. It was so quiet that we could hear the terns fishing out in the main channel.

As today I been there did wort to stop by I seen plenty seals I was lucky I had binoculars with me couse last time I been there I haven't seen couse I was looking wrong way and then people who was there told me to look over that side where is light house or what ever but I was surprised and very happy to seen them there was plenty huge seal and small and also I seen white seal which I was not even sure if he was from somewhere else came here but definitely worth to stop there wish I could get closer hope next time will see again

Pulled in here after staying at Castle Ward campsite, one of my favourite places. Managed to find a pair of seals on the rocks (binoculars needed). Love to see them in their environment and without disturbing them at all.

Worth stopping if you are driving past and have some time to kill. Small carpark, a short drive from Strangford, with a view over Strangford narrows. There are a lot more picturesque views along the coast.There is a good chance of seeing seals on the rocks but they are pretty far out so take binoculars.

This small car park on the A2 Shore Road between Strangford and Kilclief provides stunning panoramic views across the mouth of Strangford Lough. The nearby rocks are often used by seals and the shallow waters are popular with wading birds, providing good opportunities for observing wild life at sufficiently close quarters that it is necessary to avoid making loud noises which may cause disturbance. There are also other, larger, parking areas along the road providing good views but probably fewer opportunities to see the seals.

Nice place to go for a drive to, close to Strangford and Castle Ward among other need to visit places. If you're lucky you'll catch a glimpse of the seals! Pupping season in June and July. Bring binoculars etc
